Hey everyone.

I sent my I-129F on February 13th, and received my NOA1 Februrary 22nd, and of course like everyone that hasn't received their NOA2 yet, I'm anxiously awaiting! I was browsing through this thread and saw some of you unfortunately received an RFE which is making me rather nervous! So I was just looking through one of the copies I made of my packet and noticed that on the letter, declaration of having met in person I didn't necessarily specify how we met, just when we met, stating "My fiancé and I met for the first time in person on November 24th of 2014, spending November 24th - December 24th together"... But we originally met on the infamous Internet through a mutual friend via Skype. Will this score me an RFE for lack of specifics? I'm kicking myself right now because on the original letter I specified this matter but decided it was unnecessary information.. Thanks

NOA2 email rolled in about 20 minutes ago, text message about 5. They come late in the evening, don't they? I was sure we were passed over for yet again another day. **WHEW** On my way to Brazil for another visit in 6 days, so I was hoping to have approval by the time I left.

Hang in there everyone... they're coming! And best of luck to all of you still waiting.

I kind of did the same thing detailed when we met in person instead of when we met in general and how. Bummer not sure that's what my RFE is for but that's what I think. It couldn't be anything else I have racked my brain and that's the only thing I can come up with. Good Luck

I really hope this isn't the case for my sake, I've rummaged through old threads about others curious of what to submit on their letter and most of everyone says that how you met isn't necessary, that the ones reading our letters are just looking for dates when we met in person. I'm so confused! I also provided Skype conversation logs dating back to January of 2014, so I'm sure they're going to be extremely confused about how we started out, when I stated we met first in person as of November of 2014, and that alone very well might give me an RFE.

It's unfortunate you got an RFE, hopefully they mail you their reasoning soon so you can know why! Good luck to you also.

:clock: It will ring when the ROC has been approved and nothing I do or look or stomp my feet will make it come any sooner. I sleep real well at night.

Good luck to all and stop worrying and checking websites and apps. It will be approved when it is approved. :)

haha. I keep telling myself that, but it hasn't stopped me from checking everyday after 5pm HST.

Mine was received on the 8th and I haven't been approved either, so you're not alone. There are some being approved according the USCIS app but it seems to be completely random when an 8th is adjudicated. Also consider that there are a lot of January filers who are still waiting. I think... maybe they got a little behind into the beginning of Feb and started taking the most recent cases and are slowly working the backlog on the side. My employer does this all the time and it feels like this might be the case, which would explain why some later cases are approved a lot sooner.

Of course, that's just my gutt feeling and could be completely wrong but there you go. Don't let it drive you crazy. Even an RFE is good news.

Yes there are many reasons. First one to come to mind is not completing your payment properly; Not using U.S. Department of Homeland Security and not USDHS or DHS. Submitting the wrong amount. Not submitting a check drawn on a US Bank.

Not signing the I-129f.

These are some of the many but the one that most get their package sent back for dealing check issues.
