What I meant was.......that I would like to plan ahead of time , but I cannot make any plans yet until I know my fiancee gets her visa approved the day of the interview which really sucks since I need to look for a bigger apartment, etc

The hard part is planning last minute airfare while trying not to spend $1000's on airfare. In my case my brothers wedding is this summer and I'm hoping my fiancé can be here for that as well so we can all meet the family. I live in Hawaii and my family is in Pennsylvania so it won't be easy to introduce her at a later date.

Yep, that too. We will get married in July and my family will attend but they can't buy tickets before I have my visa so really expensive for them since the price just goes up. .... My boy and I will leave a week day in June if all goes well have seen tickets for a oneway for both of us for $1,100 so thats a okay price for oneway.

Don't drive yourself nuts by looking at other people's dates, you know it's all hard to estimate because of how different each case is and the workload the clerk might have that is handling yours too.

The waiting sucks, but find some more positive distraction then seeing other people besides you getting approved.

Again good luck to all that are still waiting on their approval!

I can only speak for myself and I don't go to the extreme of checking every hour, its not a compulsive thing. I've been doing just for fun and to kill some time in the meantime. I'm kind of tired of playing Candy Crush and found this visa app thingy as entertaining ???... You're right, the waiting suxs but it's just the way it is, patience is definitely a virtue. I feel you on this.

If I book her flight today, it will be about 800 bucks or something.

I will probably book a flight VERY close to visa in hand (Planning to get CFO certificate ahead), this will likely set us back by 2 grand or so.

I'll be flying to Manila to pick her up then head back to Hawaii and then fly to Pennsylvania at the end of July. Hoping we have her visa by June if we're lucky. We're on track for that going by averages however so much can happen until the interview!

Not being able to plan stresses me out too but luckily we just want an easy courthouse wedding (90% sure at the Santa Barbara courthouse). Not sure why but I guess most courthouses don't do weddings anymore in California.

Just saw a change in the cases I monitor. "Received your RFE response"

Not sure if the updates come in one batch or multiple batches each day after close of business.

Sounds like a plan. My family and her family are really excited about all of these things too! We have tentative plans as well, but fortunately my family lives close enough that it is faster to drive than fly.
