I wish there were some transparency regarding how they process the applications. It would make it a lot easier for those of us still waiting even after people have been approved with later NOA1 dates. If I end up waiting 80+ days to be approved or RFE'd it would be nice to know why.

I know what you mean. It depends on each case and also on the person looking at the petition, I think. My partner and I joined this forum after we had already finished the petition and got really worried since many people usually add a ton of evidence. However, we only added two tenancy agreements (signed by ourselves and a third party) and that was it. No photos, no passport copies, etc. I was so certain we'd get an RFE but that never happened. We explained on the petition that we had been living together for the past two years. But we never really specified how we met before those 2 years. They don't really ask for that, do they? The instructions are far too vague but I guess that's because each case is so unique

This concerns me too. I've seen conflicting info on VJ about this very topic. I've seen veteran members say all the government is interested in is you showing proof of meeting in the last two years, while in other cases such as this it seems they want more info as to the start of the relationship. The question on the I-129f is worded ambiguously so it isn't entirely clear which meeting it is referencing. Any others have experiences one way or another?

Which app are you referring to because I have the USCIS one on my phone but it doesn't show whether my case has been "touched" as you put it? I'm the UK citizen so is it an app that only my fiance can use?

Thanks

Sorry, my mistake. I meant the USCIS website where you create an account and sign up for case status and updates. Here is the link if you have not sign up yet:
