thanks for this!

I recently visited my fiancé (two weeks ago) and gave him all the documents he'll need for the interview (letter from my bank, employer, etc). we haven't received NOA2 yet but I wanted to take them to him since I would see him in person and would be able to save money on mailing them. Do you think those documents will be ok for him to present at the interview despite the fact they are dated March 2016-- before the NOA2 date?

Yes it'll be fine :)

So happy to see all the approvals! Hope they keep up the good work.

Does anyone know if you need the case number from NVC to be able to book the medical exam? I tried to read of the embassy´s website but I couldn´t find anything about that..

Since people probably want to know:

The number for NVC: (603)-334-0888 then press 1 and wait. Ask if they have received your K-1.

So adding a question for this.. Can it be the beneficiary who calls for this or does it have to be the petitioner? Just wanting to make sure it doesn't have to be him.

Just to add, I think the people that got their NOA2's on the 18th of March are now getting their case numbers so I would definitely wait for a bit before calling so that you aren't just wasting your time.

Thanks for answering all the questions, Georgia! :) And I totally only plan on starting to call around 2-3k weeks from now. Now that we've gotten approved to this stage.. I'm finding that I'm definitely more relaxed and not as impatient!

Just curious, what's the motivation for contacting the NVC and embassy to check on status? If you did not do that, you would eventually get your packet from the embassy–is there a benefit to checking on the status of your application before the packet comes?

People can get their case number and that way do their medical and prepare for the next sept (embassy)
