Does anyone know the pattern on which cases are being approved?

There's really no specific pattern. Every case is processed differently and it all depends on many factors. However, this website gives us a better idea on other people's cases similar to ours. Still, there's no way of telling because everyone's on a different timeline regardless of what date they filed their case. 5 months is the official wait but from what I am seeing, some January - February filers are already being approved. I hope our day comes soon.

DS-160 question - have you ever been in the US? If you answer yes it asks for all visits? Do they really want to know every single time my fiancé has been to the states from Canada? How many are required? Thanks

Hi Domwyn,

As far as I know, they do want to know every single trip as far as you remember. There is no minimum requirement and also no maximum.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi all,

So i received our case number from NVC on Monday. My fiancé has about completed the Ds-160. Do we submit that after the embassy receives our information or can we do it now? Is it submitted online or do we need to print it off? I'm working off a packet 3 I found online for Montreal. We've done the police certificate for her already.

For the Canada folk, is the medical scheduled after receipt of packet 4 or can we do it now with NVC number? I'm finding it difficult to find k1 topics under the Canada section that answer my questions.

How long will the NVC take to do there work? I received NOA2 on May 3.

Thanks

Hello other person from Canada!

For the medical schedule, you need to schedule that after you've scheduled your interview (so after packet 4). Right now the interview dates are open only on Wednesday's for the Montreal interviews. You can do the DS-160 after they've received it (I think, not sure if you can do it earlier) and then you'll want to print off a copy of the confirmation page. You can also e-mail it to yourself (I highly suggest this) so you can just attach it to your packet 3 e-mail to Montreal.

I'm doing the process at the same time as you, just a tiny bit ahead, so will hopefully be able to answer your questions if you have any.
