That particular app does not work on all android devices; it seems that it will work on my old cell phone, but it won't work on my new one. I will have to settle for downloading the application on the old phone (no carrier, only WIFI) and monitor it that way.

I am guessing that the device shares case numbers (behind the scenes, I hope) of those that download the application, as USCIS does not provide direct support for tracking them. For instance, if I post my case number here, everyone can see it's status by entering the number into the USCIS website.

If you are worried about this sort of information sharing, I advise you to read the fine print of the terms of agreement in the application before using that application.

I just got an update from my app that says my case has been updated to received but when i went into the app nothing had changed...anyone else get this?

I had to send in a money order as the address on my personal checks hasn't been updated.

I did the same, for the same reason! Mine's a personal money order from Bank of America so I can trace it, I just have to call the bank. As of this morning it was not cashed, petition was received on 2/27. Was odd to me that it would have been delivered on a Saturday.

I suspect this has something to do with the server in charge of the app's data. You enter case number into app. it shows you the status because it checks the USCIS web form.

Later, the app's server runs a procedure looking up all the known case numbers. In the app's server location, it didn't have your case information stored initially, so it sees now new information on your case. It then automatically sends this "new" information to you.

So, probably no real new information, but the server sees it as new because there is a disconnect in what you see through the app (when initially checking) and its hourly spamming of USCIS with the receipt numbers.

Okay. Had to show it's works so took my sons Android tablet haha ... and I downloaded they app and you can search 150 cases on it

There are several with similar titles. The one that references many other USCIS cases is by the developer "Spinach Mobile LLC." If you can't find this from your device, it is likely not compatible with your device. If you wish to confirm this, view the playstore link below in a web browser and add it to your wishlist. When you look in your wishlist on the playstore (in your device), you will see that it is not compatible.

I can see you have put your consulate as Denmark? I don't hope you have done that on the I-129F, otherwise you might need to contact them and get it corrected quickly.

Thanks for following up. I only put it on the last page where it asked what his location would be for interview. Copenhagen, correct? I did read that the US would 'route it' correctly, regardless of my answer. Should I be contacting them?

He's actually in Greenland, but there's no consulate there!
