Lost of naturalisation certificate

Hi evryone!

I am in desperate need of your help,my fiancé lost his naturalisation certificate many years ago and we are going to use his passeport as a proof of Citizenship but the problem that in the i-129f form there is a question wich those informations are required: date and place in wich the naturalisation was issued as well as the number of the naturalisation certificate and my fiancé doesn 't know anything about it because he lost it many years ago,what should we do??

We definitely don't want to make naturalisation replacement because it takes 1 year to get the new one!

I am thinking About 3 solutions:

1-filling the i-129f without answering that question

2-make an attachement to explain that he lost it and he is waiting for a new one(it is not the truth )

3-asking for an attorney's opinion

What do you think??

Who said it will take a year to get a replacement?? You will most likely get a ref if you don't answer that question.

I found this on immigration help and question site , they write that processing time is 5 or 6 month and it can go to even 1 year so minimum 5 months for the replacement we can't wait all this

If they want the date and place for naturalization and you don't provide it you will get a ref.

Perhaps call uscis and see if they can give him the info over the phone? But I doubt they'll give him the number on the certificate over the phone..

How they will know the number of his certificate?? Do they have référence of naturalisation certificate information?

Well since it's uscis you turn to to get a new certificate I'm sure they can look up that number. But like I said I doubt they will just give it to you over the phone.
