People who are shitty enough parents that they don't realize that normal parents usually eat dinner with their kids and then have to put them to bed. That is like behavior you'd see from chronically single folk in their late teens and early twenties.

This is where I scold Tiff all the time. Her thuggy friends always wanna hang out, eat, drink, etc...all the things that they never got to do when they were younger.

I lecture tiff in that it's lost time. She's not going to make up for it. Now she has to make a sacrifice. You only get 1 shot at raising your kids. There's never going to be making up for mistakes. Her thuggy friends are doing it all wrong.

Again, they can't see past next week. A bunch of idiots that have us as a guide. And they're too stupid to follow suit....

I think becoming a father at a later age made me a better father...

I made roast beef yesterday. it had a hug fatty chunk on the inside that annoyed me. There's no way to tell it's there when you buy it! :( I over cooked it a bit but it was still good.. the little bit of meat I could get off it. Potatoes and stuff turned out really well in the store bought sauce. I didn't have all the ingredients for the other sauce I like but I'll google something new for when hubs is home (I have another roast.)

Tomorrow i'm making chicken the way my mom did it. Should be entertaining.

I remember years ago, I had a friend in north Carolina. His mom made an awesome chicken. It's almost like a fricassee...with herbs and spices.

I only had it once, but I still remember it as one of the best chicken dishes I've ever had the pleasure of eaten...

You could use a meat thermometer...

And, roast beef pic...

And, how did your mom make chicken?

it was in the crock pot. had it been on low it would have been fine but I didn't have that long to wait on food.

She put miracle whip on chicken and baked it. I only have mayo so it'll have to do but I'm sure some poultry seasoning won't go amiss.
