I do not understand why people cannot seem to accept others as they are regardless of gender, sexual orientation, religion, home country, etc... You dont have to like everyone, but for it to get to the point of HURTING someome else, what the bloody hell is wrong with you?!

I think it is a survival mechanism. This isn't condoning it in any way, but back in tribal days (or rather in places where they are still tribal), they had to make some group of people "the other" to target in order to keep their own identity.

I think for some of the new immigrants to Europe, they just feel like they have to really dig in and intimidate everyone otherwise they'll lose their culture. I don't think for a second that harassing women and other minorities isn't a deliberate intimidation tactic, especially when they know they'll get away with it. They wouldn't in America because the Jews are a more politically correct protected class than Muslims, but in Europe Muslims > Jews in terms of PC value at the moment.

This kid is driving me nuts, he is so different than his sister. He has to touch everything, ###### everything. Plus, he's got an unhealthy obsession with power cords. There could be a visible power cord clear across the house and he'd be doing everything possible to get there.

Tolerance, and acceptance, is a 2 way street.

You may accept all the other religions, races, etc all you want. But they may not accept you.

That's what I dont understand. I know it happens and for the most part I understand how it happens as well.... I don't why.
