Why not start a daycare, Nola-B. ma'am? Sounds like a lucrative revenue $tream, $i ma'am.

I've been asked before if I would watch infants because you don't need to be licensed to watch one family's children, but I declined. I've got too much on my plate on the moment and I've got 3 semesters left to finish both degrees, so that is kind of a priority.

Not to get too much into the nitty gritty economics of it, but home daycares don't pay well, despite the shortage of spots. It makes more economic sense here, if your kids are older, to even work a receptionist job or work at the school, because the pay is higher.

Well it's funny that so many politically incorrect things are considered that. I think this has been blown way out of hand.

Like how in Canada there's a school that has the words Mother and Father banned because it's not gender neutral :rolleyes:

Reminds me of the gender neutral pronoun they added to Swedish last year. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2015/04/01/sweden-is-about-to-add-a-gender-neutral-pronoun-to-its-official-dictionary/

It still isn't as bad as some of the gender neutral kindergartens in Scandinavia and people wonder why the natives don't stand up to aggressive foreigners. <_<

I come in, the manager and the office girl is bickering. The personnel are totally misplaced. The office is being ran like a junior high school. Now the manager leaves with an entourage of 2 others to Manhattan. He needs someone to hold his hand?

Now I hear that he's touchy feely with another female here.....

I think we're gonna have to start interviewing people...

I just got the ball started on getting the little Dane into toddler daycare that starts next January. That is how far off the waiting lists are here for quality places. Some of the good ones near me have women who've yet to get pregnant on their infant waiting lists.

Are you leaning towards a Piaget method school? I'm a fan of those, but seems the ratio to Montessori schools is exceptionally low - I disliked Montessori schools back in the day, found a Piaget school for my son and everyone had a blast.

Except for the latecomers. Some women put in her kid mid semester, near to graduation, never showed up for the parents meetings or get togethers, and on graduation day - I had the MC job. So my rant on her was - this is not a congregational church, there is no call and response, so shut up and let me get to the end. I abhor call and response environments, in toto.

There aren't really those choices here. ;) This one of the few non-religious ones that actually has well trained teachers in it.
