Did you even get a haircut since we last heard from you?

And judging from the way you're dressed, you're not in the tropics...

The big exhaust over your head suggests some kind of table grill. Perhaps a Korean restaurant. Or a benehana for senior citizens....

Actually I'm keeping my hair much shorter these days. Just down to the shoulder and not half way down my back.

In balmy Minnesota yet. We did go visit my wife's country last spring. Her mother got seriously ill about the the third day there and we spent most of our trip in the hospital. Well we went to be with family, and we certainly accomplished that. lol

It was a Japanese joint.

News from the past year.

Trip back to my wife's home.

Bought a couple lots near her family to build on one day.

Wife landed a new job, she's a customs broker now. That is what her degree was in.

Wife just applied for citizenship, which is what prompted me to stop in.

Just living and enjoying life.

We made the best of it. Even though we spent a week straight in the hospital, we had fun while doing it. Then the next week was lots of doctors appointments and test result gathering. Cost me a bundle, but mamma's healthy again and doing well now. Whole point was to be with family. I might have chosen better things to do, but if this had happened while we were in the USA, my wife would have been miserable, and so would have I as a consequence.

St Paul is a great city to live in. You want to pick the best area though.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
