Living here, I see a lot of immigrants, legal or otherwise, make something out of nothing, all the time.

I also saw Gump, blindly follow his ####### brother, into a life of poverty. Taking my SIL with him.

I even tried to help him along. Just short of stuffing money into his pockets.

And now. he's going to turn 46. With 2 kids. His wife can only work the 2 days that he's off.

What's he going to do?

Wait for my in laws to come back to the US? And live with them?

In 2007, when they got married, I was still like dilly dallying with Tiff. So I wasn't there for the wedding, kinda didn't wanna see the future in laws lol.....But I was there soon enough to lend support.

He's been reliant on Tiff's family for all this time!

Yeah that's why we got pink for girls and orange for boys.

Its not important to my family and most I know. What was important was happiness.

Happiness is very important. But a man's gotta make a living. Reality.

Not having to worry about having a roof over your head, what happens if you can't work, etc.....

It takes a lot of stress and pressure off life. Don't you agree?

Actually, it's beyond Gump's intelligence to think of those things.

Like I said, they can't see past next week.

they have Tiff and the in laws to fall back on.

Remember back in 2013? they said they were moving back to malaysia? he was going to work for his sister and be rich?

What happened to that? May be the Gump's sister's husband is like.....me?

Some of this is definitely on Tiff's sister, though. She married him and she should have known that if you marry a guy like that, you need to have a good career for yourself so you can make up for his shortcomings.

ok this double posting is nuts. I'm not clicking things twice!!!! :girlwerewolf2xn::girlwerewolf2xn:

alas, tis a nasty combination of yer pooter, the OS, and the web browser.

Shift to Opera Web Browser, it overcomes most OS issues...

Does my first meal count if it's a drink?

Maybe, if it's vegetables gone through a juicer, with brewer's yeast and flax seed added. You might get by on a technicality.

and you're right. But she was stuck behind a bread counter at a Chinese bakery. Like Tiff, she never had a BF.

Tiff got lucky. She didn't, she went out with the first schmuck that asked her out. Not knowing how to choose a man.

And, after marriage, she helped him pay some gambling debt, while they crammed into my in laws apt in the lower east side.

I have pics of it somewhere.

Heck when they first got the place, I furnished it with a TV and a sofa.

that was....2003?

On my facebook right now is about the most disgusting thing I've seen in a while. Backstory - someone I used to know in high school, got a college degree, but then got arrested for heroin related stuff so he can't get a real job, not that he's trying because he's only been clean maybe 3 months and living in a halfway house. He is dating this girl, much younger and much more attractive than him, but also a recovering addict and she is labor right now about to give birth to a baby that isn't his.

So she posts pictures of them tonguing (tongues visible) and groping whilst she is in labor, in the hospital gown, and on the freaking hospital bed. What the ever loving ####.

I know the name of that fetish. It's not for all, alas. :D

I agree it is easier when you're not homeless, i have been there. And it's nice to have disposable income. But I'd rather be poor, living pay check to pay check, and happy than rich and unhappy. Ive had both so I know for me anyhow. But everyone is individual.

But I'm not saying that she should have married rich.

There's the "Happy median".

Having a little extra money can make one a lot happier.

You know, like a Disney trip?

Or a nice place to live?

Your own yard?

You know what I mean.

Call him on the cell.....

tell him you want a new gazebo right now.

He drives a truck, right? He should be able to stop off at 4 construction sites during the week, say lunchtime, and pick up enough free lumber to build her a gazebo. He's not lazy about this, free lumber arrives because of his manual labor ? [Just asking]

I got some silstone counter tops recently, gonna use them as a washing table. FREE ! :D Why? The illegal aliens that ordered them ordered the wrong size from the custom cut warehouse - and there's no backsies. The builder and I already have great relationship - he calls me when there's stuff to go and I show up with my cargo van. :D

But I digress - there's free lumber out there to be had - and yer husband has a truck.

I know exactly what you mean. And i understand as gump cant even work enough to really support his family.

Theres a whole issue with immigration to the US I dont agree with in regards to that subject.

Speaking of trips. I better take a road trip. The accord has like 7,000 miles on it. And it's been a year and a half....

I gotta go drive it to alaska and back.

Now, in....2011. I turned in a 2008 Accord EX-L, a super nice one. The thing had like 16,000 miles on it. Gump wanted very much to buy the thing. It was may be 18-19000 dollars? he couldn't come up with a down payment.
