The mother in law pod on our land in the Philippines.

see? there's just enough room for privacy for a sit-down. Kudos ! Maybe Tark could arrange for a brightly-colored, glow in the dark, accroutrement so the bamboo splinters are a non-issue !

Davao doesn't get typhoons. Its below the typhoon belt.

We put city water on the lot too, so mama can water her veggies.

what? no rain-water collection system? Blasphemy !

She'd turn into a popsicle! The windchill last night was -30.

Hey, Mischief Managed ! [which was sorta the point - make something that 'looks nice' but has limited functionality]

They're just trying to trick him into going to the woods. Shallow graves await those outsiders. They're tricky like that in Northern Minnesota. Act all friendly like and bang in the back of the head.

I don't think we are really outsiders anymore. We've survived two winters, the Dane is a firefighter now, etc. I've got to wait a few more years before I rock the boat about sidewalks. Why do the sidewalks stop a block short of school? It makes no sense.....

eh - brick lined surface is cheaper. And easy to move em if'n there's a change in the design, later. Plus a single brick is an easy tool for the chicken harvest. Multi-purpose, Yo !

I'm not going to do anything because we'd need a permit to probably even do that thing because we already have two outbuildings.

Do it, throw a party for the Jedi today

I like the fall back, hate the spring ahead one.

I like the longer days. The nights get dark too early here, worse then when I was in Canada

what? no syrup before bed? That's how it was done back in my early years.. Sure, it had alcohol in it, but I slept through the night. Talk with yer husband about it, maybe he can get a jug wholesale at his local distillery.

That would not work. All the drugs this boy was on still didn't keep him asleep, and he did nothing but sleep at the point.

Rain water collection system is called the ground. Right after we had the water line put in, mama sent us pictures of the rest shack they built for her. Its the dry time of year, so putting water in was a must to keep mama from dragging water for blocks. In a few months, it likely wouldn't be needed. As to bamboo splinters, its typical to squat and not sit in the Philippines.

well, that design was mobile, built on a trailer. Most Mini-Houses are built on a trailer. See? Step 1: get a trailer. Sorry, Tiny House...
