Because Tiff ranks herself based on how well she is doing or her family is doing compared to someone else. She doesn't realize her self worth and probably bases her worth on her things. Has she ever had a real hobby? (no shopping isn't a hobby.)

You introduce things to children until something sticks. Kiddo is a great swimmer but it's not a passion for her. She loved archery and I blame her father for her not continuing it for her. Maybe I'll let her shoot my bow this summer. The compound bow is bound to be easier than the recurve she used as a little one even though it has a higher weight on it.

She also likes creating things which is why Minecraft is so awesome for her, and legos before that.

Basically Tiff needs to learn that when her child is happy doing what she's doing, she will far exceed what she may have achieved because she enjoys it.

I think she just tries too hard to make her daughter perfect, or to keep up with everyone else's kid.

Our daughter is already a very popular kid. Her social/ interpersonal skills far exceeds her age.
