Mine was received on June 26 and approved on Oct 5th, same Vermont Service Center

DoS granted Favorable Recommendation: 06/28/2016 (Receipt # came 6 weeks after this, in the meantime I contacted USCIS 10 times, but they could not find anything. SO I went crazy till Aug 3rd. )

USCIS received I-612 (Filed by the DoS, no need to file yourself in a No-Objection case): 07/05/2016 (Did not know this until Aug 3rd, when I received the notice)

USCIS NOA1 (Receipt Number) issued: 08/03/2016

USCIS APPROVAL: 10/05/2016 (100 days since USCIS received it, and 65 days since USCIS issued a Receipt Number)

USCIS NOA2 Arrival (to an US Address): 10/08/2016

May 24 ---- J1 Waiver cashed the cashier check for the process fee

May 27 ---- No Objection letter sent from Mexico's consulate

June 20 --- E-maill from J1- Waiver "THERE IS NO RECORD OF HAVING RECEIVED YOUR APPLICATION"

July 12 ---- No status on webpage

July 13 ---- J1 Waiver respond "PLEASE REDO OR RESEND APPLICATION PACKAGE. REMEMBER TO CANCEL CHECK FROM THE FIRST PACKAGE AND SEND A NEW PAYMENT FOR THE PROCESSING FEE"

July 14 ---- Resent package

July 15 ---- Package was delivered

Its been 3 months 15 days USCIS received my case no update other than "Fees Were Waived". Its very painful to wait for this long for No Objection with my current visa expiring this month end.

Is there any way to expedite? I tried calling service center but its of no help as they keep telling its 4 months processing time........

How did you submit an inquiry? Did you use the tool in https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.do ? And selected the "outside normal processing" option ?

Because, everytime I used their online tool it says that the application is within normal processing time? It has been almost 2 months at uscis since receipt number and 3 months since DOS send it to USCIS.

And I am also suprised that your Consulate in DC helped you. I wonder whether there is anyone got similar help from their Consulate. I think if if try to contact my consulate, they will pretty much say they do not have anything to do after sending No Obj letter to DOS.

I had submitted service request with Llevel-2 support on October 13th, 2016 and i got response on October 19th, 2016 saying they are currently working on the application received on July 25th,2016 (my application received by them is July 26th,2016).

Its been 21 days since they said July 25th,2016 applications just wondering this long for a day???

The outcome was my request to expedite was not accepted.

But somehow 2-3 weeks after that decision, it moved to approved status. And based on what I heard submitting inquiry can still help even if the request is not accepted.

I know this waiting sucks but I believe yours should be approved soon, maybe the next 1-2 weeks.

Nothing yet..... they keep saying 4 months and its under normal processing very painful!
