I am also in the same boat as all of you. I petition for my husband and got a YSC number and in the case status page it does not recognize it. I called and the automatic system did not recognized it as well. Well, I guess I will have to wait like all of you. MY priority date is Feb22. and I received the noticed Feb24th.

It seems that there is a new service center called Potomac Center in Arlington, VA. The receipts from this center start with YSC. You are correct. There is no mistake and it isn't a missprint about Vermont. I also filed and my case is also at POTOMAC and it also has a YSC. Don't worry.

I filled a I-130 Petition for my wife for an IR1 Visa. Will the receipt number I receive via text be the number that stays with my case. if so why are my first 3 letters YSC shouldn't it be the letters for a service center. what center is YSC ? i have looked but have yet to find it.

Hi people!I know this thread is a year old but I am trying my luck. I filed for an I-130 application last month and my receipt number hasn't been working. It's been more than 30days. I just called but was just told that they have an issue updating their system and to just continue to wait. I am wondering what happened to your cases, if it affected the timeframe, took you longer or what. I know it depends on the service center the case was forwarded to. Mine happened to be in the seemingly slowest. :( It's hard to be in the dark with nothing to do but endure the grueling wait.
