Wow i'm happy for guys ! My lawyers sent my application on February 21st and they still haven't cash my check yet. They can't even find me on their computer. Should I just tell my lawyers to re-send my application at this point ? I am beyond tired of all of this.

Sorry to hear. The biggest mistake I ever made was to get a lawyer. The i485 I did on my own and all of that process was the simplest ever. I stricltly did it using VJ guidelines and my fiancées green card arrived a few days ago.

I had hired a lawyer for the k-1 visa. It was the worst experience ever. The imagination lawyer from West Palm Beach had no idea what he was doing. At one point our paper work was lost for 10 weeks. I had to do all the work on the case myself, call the visa center constantly, contact the embassy, etc, etc. the lawyer actually slowed the process.

Even though your lawyer was suppose to do this for you, it is still your responsibility. Get all your information together and start finding out where your paperwork is. This is a great site and many people will help you. The USCIS is good at sending notifications and also has contact phone numbers to check your status.

No one can do your paper work and track it better than you can.

So husband and I were away for the weekend but came home to a nice surprise. EAD/AP card was delivered on Friday. It is a combo after all even though my AP status never changed after "my case was approved."

Took 64 days for approval and 69 for card in hand.

K1, EAD/AP + AOS + ROC = 0 RFE's

Next step: Citizenship!

Lol! Twin pregnancies are not easy.. we had some complications earlier on and theyve reduced but babies are healthy which is all we want!... its realy tough!! They are our first and its very exciting but stressful at the same time. I am learning to take things one day to the next.

I agree about the money thing its hard not working especially when you just want to buy baby things all day long! In a way its a good way to practice living minimally having less money. I really appreciate my things more since not being able to buy more.

We will be able to return to normal living soon enough! Especially once we get to start working and making friends... it will happen soon! There is light at the end of this long horrible tunnel!
