Ive been here since november and its the least active ive ever been.. worked/been in education since i was 17 so its pretty tough just sitting around..

I been here since Nov also, I honestly fell like a maid also even though my husband tells me I ain't and that I don't have to do the cooking and cleaning but it makes the time go by, I remember before I got here his closet MY GOD!!! and his bedroom in general , I pretty much did a whole makeover of his place which took 2 1/2 months but now let's just say I can move around now lol

Men can be messy that's for sure but now everything is organized life is good ;)

Ditto on feeling like a maid my husband is so grateful I just feel so useless all the time. It's been really weighing on me feeling so isolated. It would be so much easier if I had a job and could make some friends my husband and his family are amazing but I just want to be able to have my own friends too. It is really hard I get really sad sometimes and I feel bad because I know it makes my husband sad when he sees me like this. I'm normally a very active happy person but this process is really sucking the joy out of being here. Thank god he's so understanding !!

It's the National Benefits Center. All applications (for AOS anyways) are sent there. This is where they check all the paperwork and where the RFE's are sent to.

OH haha, that also makes sense!

K1, EAD/AP + AOS + ROC = 0 RFE's

I feel you guys. Also here since Nov. It's gotten to the point where I think my husband may actually be more excited for my EAD/AP to finally get here, than I am. Cooking and cleaning only makes the time go so fast. I've been trying to work out more (keyword: trying) and binge watching house of cards (which I've now finished).

Hopefully in the next month we'll all be able to finally start working and meeting people on our own.

That's basically me haha. As the wife, I'm way happier about USCIS updates than my husband--he's still extremely content to have me as the sole supporter lol. Oh, the French mentality.

My husband is French too, but he's worked nonstop since he was a teenager. Being unemployed is really bothering him. He keeps saying he can't wait to feel productive and be able to treat me to nice things again. But like Mash said, even if we have a long wait for the green card, things will be better once EAD comes in and he can go back to work. :)

Totally agree! I wish the USCIS had more updates frequently. Seriously anyone elses life feel like all they do is sit around waiting for their husband/wife to come home from work?

I am stir crazy. Of course I clean and cook, but once everything is done, nothing much left to do..

I told my husband I feel like a dog, I wag my tail when he comes home... I'm so happy to see him when he comes home, i got company!

Thankfully, my brother paid for a gym membership, so I got something to do!

Sorry about the Seattle office :/ keep us updated when you hear about your interview/ead/ap!

Your husband has a nice mentality! I think because I'm such a perfectionist and hard worker, I chose someone kind of the opposite who just goes with the flow haha.

Haha, I envy him! I was like that the first month or so when it felt like a nice extended vacation and soon after started to go stir crazy. I get so emotional sometimes about being stuck in the house, I'm honestly surprised my husband hasn't taped my mouth shut. Hence why he's so excited for me to get back out into the real world haha.

Idk if I am just over thinking this but I feel people that got an RFE had more accomplished then people that didn't

I don't think that's true. If you read through the entire thread, the people who have their EAD/AP/GC in hand or on the way, for the most part are RFE free. What I will say though, is it seems those who have had interviews ready to be scheduled or scheduled seem to not be hearing about their EAD/AP as quickly.
