Unfortunately, many offices across the country are EXTREMELY backlogged. I would assume it has something to do with the way CSC was cranking out k1's, among other things. My local office is currently processing interviews for those with NOA's of April 9 2015! Someone posted a link where you can check your office ... it's probably only a page or so back in this thread.

Best bet is to put in a service request for your EAD at day 75 to make sure that is still being pushed through if you don't hear anything about your interview by then.

I checked ur location for interview and they are working on the August 2015 right now so urs might be less then a year

One thing I'm confused about is that for my RFE it said to mail my response to an address in Lee's Summit near Kansas City yet I'm in New York.. Does it go there then get forwarded or does it mean mine is being processed by a different office?

Thanks but my location is greer, sc it says it was updated 29th feb 16 and they were processing 2nd july applications... hopefully theyre on to september by now...

I got the exact same thing about 2 weeks ago. Very frustrating as we sent a lot of info initially proving income.

It appears that there is a lot of luck involved in this process, as many people filing at the same time have EAD/AP and even interviews/GC already.

Yes nothing is in order of when people filed which is the most frustrating thing..

Out of interest where did it say to mail your additional evidence to?

Ugh I'm sorry...but I'm not sure how accurate that site is. I submitted my AOS application end of February and received an interview in May, but the information for my local office says they're currently processing applications from October 2015--it doesn't make sense.

February Filer here, from Los Angeles.

My wife's EAD has just been approved, however we're still waiting on the I-485. We did get an RFE on March 15, with the extra evidence sent on 1 April.

No interview date yet. The Seattle office is also pretty backed up, so it'll probably be a few months for us too.

That's totally normal. The busiest offices (ie New York) are forwarding a lot of their cases to offices with a much smaller load (which I assume is the case in Lee's Summit) in order to redistribute the weight and hopefully, move things along more quickly.

It's the National Benefits Center. All applications (for AOS anyways) are sent there. This is where they check all the paperwork and where the RFE's are sent to.

Totally agree! I wish the USCIS had more updates frequently. Seriously anyone elses life feel like all they do is sit around waiting for their husband/wife to come home from work?

That's pretty much what I do , that an do laundry n cook

Having a month off from work was fun , till it became almost 5 months n I feel drained of just sitting all day
