Mine says it's in the mail (received the notifications yesterday). I will update when it's in hand. I sent my package Feb 4.

Holdingon is in the same boat as me and I think one or two others are waiting or have already received theirs. There are also a couple posters in this forum who already have their green card on the way, or in hand (thus cancelling the EAD/AP).

Thank Goolia! Mine seems delayed compared to other Feb filers then!

My I-485 also says case is ready for an interview and haven't changed since March 22nd!

I'm just sitting and waiting! :ranting:

Woke up to a text this morning that my green card interview is on May 18! I don't even care that we have an interview. I'm so excited we are basically done with this process and no RFE!

Wow..Congrats. Your field office is fast.

Just check my case this morning and saw this

"On April 11, 2016, we approved your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , . We will mail your approval notice."

What does it mean? DO I just get a letter? or does the Employment Authorization comes with it?

Where are you guys getting your info regarding how swamped offices are? The uscis processing time page based on field office? My field office is Newark, NJ and according to the processing time, they are working on cases from April 8, 2015! Yet I've seen people in the forums who filed in Jan and Feb 2016 who already have their GC approved.

A lot of the local offices see, to be swamped, I guess I do in derstand do to many applicants and not enough workers to go through all the work

IMO people who do k1 should just get the GC if all the paperwork is in order and just have interviews for the ROC

That just means they are still handling interviews for AOS from that date. The increase in interview waivers is because most of these offices are so backlogged. Rather than cancelling old interviews though, they just seem to be waiving most of the new ones.

If you go on other threads, you will see how many angry people there are who have been waiting 6 months+ for their AOS interview date.

Yours is actually very much on track. Even mine at 64 days is considered early and I submitted before you did. I also never had ANY sort of notification about an interview or whatnot until yesterday. It's just maddening because you see so many other people hearing back much earlier than the expected 2-3 months. :(

What I would do if I were you though, is submit a service request at day 75 to make sure your EAD + AP get pushed through because your AOS interview might not be for another year (depending on your field office), as MASH was saying.

It will be a card. Usually your status first changes to "my new card is being produced" and then to "we approved your form ... we will mail your notice, etc." (Totally backwards but hey)

In short, your EAD is on its way!

My local office says the I485 is being processed now with dates from October 17, 2015--that's almost 6 months ago! Does that date refer to the NOA1 date? If so, did they suddenly start processing things a lot faster, since I filed end of february and have an interview in mid May--2ish months as opposed to 6 months...

I had the same message and wondered the same thing. On Friday it said it's been approved and then it changed to card was mailed to me. I just received yesterday the approval notice without the card. So still waiting for that....

For my local ASC, it refers to the NOA1 date, and from looking at timelines it appears to be accurate. So not sure why you got an interview now, but oh well. You're lucky!! Congrats! :)

If you're not sure which office is your field office, you can google the field office nearest to you and make sure they service your county.
