Thanks, MASH! Yes, I agree with waiting for the actual card before booking a flight. I just got a little excited when I woke up with the good news this morning... What would be better is if I get my green card before flying up to Toronto in June. Is that asking for too much? :)

I feel you will be fine as you will have your AP and that ur Canadian so we have less worry crossing the border compared to people from other continents ;)

I'm booking a flight to Toronto the moment my AP comes in as well! Such a relief to be able to give an actual date of when I'll be visiting home.

It might be asking for too much, but considering the way things go with USCIS, you can't fault us for hoping.

Nope do not blame you at all :)

I hope to get my EAD/AP soon as well cause I want to go visit my family in Toronto as I really miss them and go back to Niagara Falls with my husband as a going away trip and have a nice honeymoon ;)

YAY! So after much anxiety, I received two text messages this morning. My I-131 was approved April 8th and the travel document is in the mail and my I-765 shows approval on the 8th as well with "new card is being produced." Guess it's not a combo, not that I'm bothered haha.

Congratulations!!! :)

Did you receive a separate email/text for I-765 that a new card is being produced? Or is it all one step? What does your online status say?

That is ridiculous! I can't imagine why they wouldn't just send this RFIE's information with the original unless it's in reference to what you just sent? Maybe because you just sent in the updated i864 with that name filled out, they're asking for all the evidence again?

Thanks, I don't know what they could possibly want this time.

Thanks, if it has to do with the prior RFIE, then at least I didn't get denied right away. I really hope I dont have to re-send all the taxes documents, it was huge!

That is so stupid , they should have told you all in the first RFE , looks like people in that office need to get more organized and realize what they do effect people's lives

Thank you!!!

I received two seperate text messages. One for the I-131 and one for the I-765. Both messages said your case has been updated, please login at uscis which then stated:

I-131 says my case was approved, we will mail your approval notice.

I-765 says my new card is being produced.

The I-485 remains without an update since Feb 18 (Fingerprint fee was received)

I assume it will be a EAD card and a letter for multiple entries back into the US for the travel doc as that is what others who did not get the combo card described.

Omg, what the hell. That seems SO inefficient.

As someone else stated though, good on you for remaining so upbeat. I know I wouldn't be nearly as calm. Hope this gets straightened out STAT.
