I'm wondering Ipod, was your RFE for initial evidence or additional? We're almost on the same timeline in California, LA. I send my stuff in Tuesday and am waiting for a response. I'm hoping you get approved, so it's positive news for me.

Hi, the RFE was for initial. It was because when you fill form I-864, if you delete the name on the last page (the one where it says additional information) it also deletes it on page 3. I didn't notice it when I printed the form and sent it with no name on page 3.

It's common enough that they have an automatically generated form for the RFIE.

I got this a week after my biometrics, and they got it back about 2 weeks after that, so it should have only slowed down my case for 2-3 weeks.

I will keep updating this thread, so you will know.

Good luck to you!

Hey Tootak--I'm sorry about the disappointing news. In this instance, I would definitely say to skip the 15 day wait and contact your congressman directly. I have experience with this, and their office is usually very good about helping out their constituents!

Good idea! I will email the congressman. Thank you for your help Francais_usa!

Small update- 30 days passed since our last service request, so we were able to call USCIS to inquire about the two case status changes we had about notices failing to be delivered. They said that since our case is ready to be scheduled for an interview, we shouldn't worry about whatever was trying to be delivered before. So that's a relief, although I still wonder what it was.

Hi fellow Feb 2016 AOS filers, my story, adjusting from K1

Filed- Feb 10th

NOA 1- Feb 12th

Biometrics- March 11th

NOA 2 APPROVED- March 31st (20 days after Biometrics, no interview, no RFE's, No potential interview waiver letter)

GC being produced

GC in mail-April 6th

still waiting for actual card

So got approved in approx. 6.5 weeks, no interview, still in shock, it seems there is just no predicting this journey, I was expecting to wait 6-12 months for the GC, I had put it to the back of my mind, after being one of those stuck in the Texas center backlog for over 6 months! So good luck with your AOS journeys and I wish everyone speedy approvals, you just never can predict anything on this journey.

Congrats!!! That is so exciting :) I was stuck waiting for an approval from TSC for 8 months! I'm hoping they are being kind to those who had to wait for so long (and to everyone else!) but who knows how they work. Must be such a relief. Good to hear good news!

YAY! So after much anxiety, I received two text messages this morning. My I-131 was approved April 8th and the travel document is in the mail and my I-765 shows approval on the 8th as well with "new card is being produced." Guess it's not a combo, not that I'm bothered haha.
