Me n my husband tried to get a joint acct but the bank is being so difficult , sigh why do they make this so hard :(

Try opening the account in a different bank or branch. When we got married we got a lot of money from the wedding and we wanted to open a joint account. We went to this bank by us and since I didn't have a SSN they kept saying that I was not allowed to have a joint account nor deposit all the checks we got from the wedding. So we tried going to the same bank but a different branch, and the lady at the other branch didn't give us any problems opening a joint account and depositing our money. We even complained about it to this nice lady and she said that the other woman was totally wrong. So try going to a different branch/ bank. Good luck!

Well I just checked and my case is ready for interview date which I am happy but I really wish there was no interview , I'm nervous like crazy cause me n my husband have nothing under our names together yet do to his work schedule , when would I get the physical letter does anyone know?, I'm getting butterflies in my tummy :(

I wish there was no interview and they would just mail the green card lol

My goodness, that was fast!! Congratulation!! No RFE for you which is so great. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I wouldn't worry too much about having things in your names, if it comes up, just explain why. Since you're a real couple I'm sure you'll do great.

Thank you so much for the positivity :) and I definitely will let everyone know how it goes that way you guys can be prepared but I'm sure we will all do great as I'm sure most of us came to the states for love :)

Honestly I'm shocked of no RFE cuz im pretty sure the 2015 tax return wasn't in the records I sent, I guess it all depends on who is reading it :)

Congrats, that was really fast!!! I really don't think the 2015 tax return was necessary when we sent it in unless you were lucky enough to have a clueless worker going over your file.

Also, not to hijack your fantastic news, but I'm starting to panic. All three of my case files still say last updated Feb 18. Does anyone know when I'd be able to call for information? I'm assuming I have to wait until 90 days has passed?

I wouldn't worry yet...our case hasn't been updated since Feb 10 either.

If your EAD has been pending longer than 75 days you can make a service request https://www.uscis.gov/forms/tip-sheet-employment-authorization-applications-pending-more-75-days I have this date marked on my calendar and will definitely be filing a request if necessary, since I know my husband would like to start working soon.

In regards to the GC, we all just have to be patient. After a 10 month K-1 visa process (TSC backlog, long wait for an interview at Ankara) I have learned to be patient with the immigration process and just be grateful that we are now together. There is no way to predict whether we will get an RFE, be asked to come in for an interview, or just go straight to GC production...that's in the hands of USCIS, so we are prepared for another long wait, while still hoping for the best...

Oh yay! I'm glad to hear that because I honestly thought you had to wait much longer before they would give you an answer. Hopefully Monday, you'll have it all sorted.

Ty! I will be marking that on my calendar as well.

Absolutely. I keep telling myself I have no right to complain, especially since I managed to just barely avoid TSC but it's hard when you're not working and have way too much time to read about other people's case's being processed ahead of yours haha. I know that's the way it goes and so much of it is dependent on local offices and the person who has your case - doesn't make it any less frustrating though.

Fingers crossed that we continue to hear more good news in this thread.
