Massive congrats!

Also, a general question to all, when it says case is ready to be scheduled, does that mean you have to log in somewhere and pick a date (similar to the K1 consulate interview), or do they follow up with a date that you need to show up?

They schedule the interview for you.

K-1 Visa Process (182 days from I-129F filed -> Visa in Hand)

 

 

May 10th, 2015: Got Engaged!

June 12th 2015: Fiance filed I-129F, June 19th, 2015: (NOA1) Received at California Service Center

July 23rd, 2015: (NOA2) NVC received

Aug 31st, 2015: NVC Approved and fwd case to consulate in Montreal. MTL case # given.

Sept 8th, 2015: MTL received and sent P3 by mail, Sept 18th, 2015: P3 received in mail, Sept 18th, 2015: DS-160 completed and P3 documents sent by e-mail

Sept 21st, 2015: P3 Approved. Received P4 by e-mail, Sept 21st, 2015: Booked K-1 Visa interview for December 2nd, 2015!!

Oct 2nd, 2015: Booked Medical in Toronto for November 12th, 2015

Nov. 12th, 2015: Medical done in Toronto, ON with Dr Lyndon Mascarenhas. Highly recommend him!!

Nov. 17th, 2015: Medical results delivered by Purolator

Dec. 2nd, 2015: Interview in Montreal... APPROVED!!!!

Dec. 9th, 2015: CEAC status changed to Issued!

Dec. 11th, 2015: Ready for pickup at Waterloo location. Picked up and Visa in Hand!

Hey everybody I am February filer like most of you. I had done my biomectric on the March 9, 2016 and the USCIS online status change to "case ready to schedule for interview" on the March 19, 2016.

My husband's I-485 case status just changed to "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview"! But we haven't gotten a single word about his EAD and AP. Is that normal?

Congrats! I'm in the same boat.

Please update us when you get notified of an interview date, my status has been on "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" for 2 weeks now with no new update.

yep you're right!

On the top right of your biometric notice, what code does it classify? I copied this from another user:

Code 1 is for fingerprinting of all 10 fingers. This is electronically sent to FBI the same day, they run it to match thru their database to match it with criminals/persons of interest and send the results the same day (or the next) to USCIS. Code 1 is very important as it is part of your security/background check and determines admissibility for GC. Code 1 expires after 15 months e.g. FBI needs to check their database again.

Code 2 (right index finger only+photo+sign) is for the generation of cards for immigration benefits e.g. EAD, GC etc. If you filed for EAD, you definitely need code 2 or the card can not be generated. Code 2 is done everytime we apply for a benefit.

Code 3 (fingerprinting all 10 fingers+photo+sign) is a combination of both, when USCIS wants to get a security check done on you as well as generate card.

Yup, I am code 2 haha! Good thing as I managed to get a papercut this morning, which was frustrating because I was so careful for the past weeks. ( The Guard said I was good as it was on top of my finger!)

May 16th, 2016: Submitted Service Request for I-765

June 8th, 2016: Called USCIS concerning delay, officer put another request in and said the previous one would like be ignored as it was created through their website.

June 21st, 2016: Contacted both NY Senators.

July 1st, 2016: RFIE for I-485.

July 8th, 2016; Sent Evidence Requested by USCIS. (Received July 13th)

July 15th, 2016; Emergency Advance Parole due to Family Emergency

July 27th, 2016; Contacted USCIS Ombudsman as my I-765 has been pending for 5 months.

July 30th,2016; EAD/AP have been approved!

No, I came here on a K-1 visa. Hubby thinks maybe because montreal did my 10 fingers and am Still within the 15 months limits for the code 1 validity I was a class 2.

This is a good question.

I did mine at Montreal too (a few months ago) so I thought it was odd that I had to get full fingerprints here. Then again, I was seriously struggling with mine in Montreal ... sweaty hands from being nervous haha.

K1, EAD/AP + AOS + ROC = 0 RFE's

 

Next step: Citizenship!

Did the notice state biometrics for both i765 and i485?

I think someone in the March forum indicated that their letter only mentioned 1 of the 2 and and an officer told them that this sometimes happens. they send the 2 seperately ..so that means 2 different bio appointments
