Checked I-485 case status this morning and it changed to "Notice was returned to USCIS because the post office could not deliver it." It says "This could have a serious effect on your case." I immediately called USCIS, but they were unable to do anything since my last service request was less than 30 days ago (when they failed to inform my husband of his biometrics appointment, so not our fault). I have no idea what could have possibly been sent out, we were only expecting the 2nd biometrics letter which we got in the mail already. The USCIS representative I spoke to can't see what notice was sent, but he thinks they accidentally sent out another biometrics letter. I don't know how that failed to be delivered considering we successfully received all our NOAs and the 2nd biometrics letter at the same address. Is it possible to receive another RFE? I don't know. I am so frustrated with this process.

hi i received the same status for my EAD. But the thing is i never received my EAD noa letter but im done with my biometrics.. do you received noa for your I-485?

Yep, like I said, we successfully received all NOAs and the biometrics letter at our current location. No idea why they suddenly have a problem with our address. Did your status change after your biometrics appointment?

nothing yet. i just finished my bio last friday.. well maybe its just technical issues. i did have this same issue during k1 process but it did change to approval after few weeks. so i guess nothing to worry.

02.22.2016: NOA1 Texts/emails received

02.26.2016: hard copies of NOA1 in the mail

03.07.2016 walk-in Biometrics (scheduled for 3/15/2016)

03.21.2016 RFE for I-485

05.19.2016 Second RFE for I-485

07.15.2016 EAD approval notice

Still no bio letter :(. Seems like everyone got theirs so IDK y mine is taking forever

I'm in the same boat...boohoo...my mail man usually comes around 4pm so I'll see...but I'm banking on tomorrow since I received my noa1 hard copies 4 days after the first group. Keep me updated with yours

no prob! I was gonna do a walk in but decided to wait it out too

None of the offices in NJ took walk ins anyway so I dont think it's worth the effort in the end haha

Has anyone here had experience with changing your address? I know you have to mail a form and do something online I'm not sure.

We're moving to New York at the end of April so I was wondering when I should start submitting those forms...

When I had to change address for the k1 I think it's the same process, you call USCIS and they will change it for you

No bio letter for me either :cry:. I called USCIS yesterday and I was told to wait another week and then put a service request (30 days after NOA).

  • Package sent on 2/17/16
  • Package was delivered to Chicago lockbox 2/19/16 (day 1)
  • NOA received in email 2/29/16 (day 10)
  • Checks cashed 3/7/16 (day 17)
  • Bio metrics 5/9/16 (late appointment as a result of "technical difficulties" in USCIS system in filing my documents ) (day 81)
  • Interview notice sent via text on 6/30/16. (day 133)
  • Interview date : 8/1/16 (day 194) Approved! :dancing:
  • Status changed to "New card is being produced" (day 195) : 8/2/16
  • Status changed to "Card was mailed to you" (day 198): 8/5/16
