Hello!

We had our biometrics appointment at the Nashville ASC office today at 8am, we were there by 7:50am and the line quickly grew up to 15 people scheduled at the same time; very smooth process, at the entrance of the office I had to show my passport, marriage certificate and the appointment letter, for my daughter just her appointment letter and passport, then we filled a form with our basic information (name,date of birth,height,weight,eye/hair color..etc) We were done by 8:15am.

As somebody told me a few days ago in this forum, this office does not allow early walk ins, I saw a couple of ladies being turned away by the security guard and asked to reschedule their appointments if they wouldn't be in the city for the original biometrics date.

Hi guys,

I've been following this thread from the beginning but I'm getting a little worried now, I've filed my I-485 and I-765 concurrently and received a NOA1 for all of them but I only received my biometrics appointment for the I-765. Does anyone else have that too? I also can't lookup the status of the I485 only and it's saying there's a validation error and when I called the USCIS they were like call us back when it's been a month..

I wouldn't worry about the lag in checking the status. I've heard from multiple posters that their status updates were delayed or nonexistent.

As for the biometric notice, does it say I485-I765 on the top left? That's what mine has.

No mine only says I-765, I've read online that it's possible that the 2 petitions got separated and that people receive 2 biometrics letters but I'm still a bit worried.

Checked I-485 case status this morning and it changed to "Notice was returned to USCIS because the post office could not deliver it." It says "This could have a serious effect on your case." I immediately called USCIS, but they were unable to do anything since my last service request was less than 30 days ago (when they failed to inform my husband of his biometrics appointment, so not our fault). I have no idea what could have possibly been sent out, we were only expecting the 2nd biometrics letter which we got in the mail already. The USCIS representative I spoke to can't see what notice was sent, but he thinks they accidentally sent out another biometrics letter. I don't know how that failed to be delivered considering we successfully received all our NOAs and the 2nd biometrics letter at the same address. Is it possible to receive another RFE? I don't know. I am so frustrated with this process.

I think it may be rare to get another RFE, since they would probably address all the issues on the first RFE (that is, unless the evidence you sent back for your last RFE was insufficient). Since yours was just a simple translation of a birth certificate, I doubt it's related to that. I'm sure USCIS just messed up...yet again.

If USICS won't answer your question, then why don't you ask the person handling your biometrics appointment when you go in?

For those of you who did a walk in, how did you know whether or not your office accepted walk-ins? My office cannot be contacted by phone. Also, I would recommend that everyone search the address of the USCIS office they're going to because I think the USCIS website is the most up to date. My biometrics letter has an address on here that isn't listed on the website as an ASC.

Also, does everyone's biometrics notice list NBC as the service center or do some people have their local office on their appointment notice? I'm not sure if the cases get transferred prior to biometrics or after.

They all say NBC and I posted a link awhile ago about walk ins on this post.

i joined a group page in facebook. some got gc no interview no rfe in just 3 months.

i think your right. i think its if you send more evidence on how bonafide marriage you have. like photos, joint account, insurance etc.

Thank you, this calmed my nerves a bit. My husband's biometrics appointment is tomorrow, so hopefully that takes care of things. If not, gotta wait 10 days till we can put in another service request.

In addition to using that link (it's on one of the first pages of the adjustment from family visa forum), I just searched the name of my office within visajourney and read any posts that had been made about it. The official USCIS website also explicitly stated that my office only takes appointments.

Hmmm no mention of the Raleigh-Durham office but i did look up other threads and they said they do accept walk-ins. However they are from 2011 so idk how acurrate they are Now:
