On February 25, 2016, we received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number MSC*********, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by March 26, 2016, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Waiting for hardcopies to see when is my NOA date.

You go to uscis.gov, then click on the "check your case status" link. There, you have the option to enter your Receipt number OR, right below, Log in/sign up.

I used it during my K1 process and will use it again (Once my receipt numbers are working!)

No problem! It helps a lot, but don't go crazy and look at it everyday. I did that with my K1 after the system had a glitch and send an email to everyone.

Good news and bad news.

Good news: we got our new biometrics letter and our RFE in the mail!

Bad news: the RFE letter says they need a translated birth certificate from my husband. That's an easy fix, except the birth certificate we sent IS TRANSLATED. It's in French on the top, and English on the bottom. I even put a note showing them how to read it. I guess reading to the bottom of the piece of paper is too much for USCIS!

Did you also attach a translator certification statement? This is worrisome because we attached our translation to the back of the acte de naissance, so hopefully they look!

We didn't even need to get it translated. The mairie in my husband's hometown provided the birth certificate to us in both languages, so it was already translated directly by the French government. USCIS just didn't bother reading the second half of the page.

Anyway, we're getting another certified translation and sending it out tomorrow. I hope they read yours more closely!

Ugh that's so annoying! That's way more accurate than the way we did it. I think they probably didn't expect it in that format and that's why they sent the RFE. It's no excuse though.

That's great that they sent you the biometrics letter quickly.

I translated my birth certificate myself, it was very easy to do. I did it in a word document and I just used the same exact format as the original. At the end I put the certification note, signed and dated it.

I hope they accept mine as I can see they are very particular about what they want.
