I don't think almost counts...as far as I've read you're supposed to be 2 years on the date of your interview to be qualifified for the 10 year GC.

Please correct me if I'm wrong

I'm 99% sure that I will get a 10 year permanent card (fingers crossed). I have a friend who was in similar situation with more complicated case and received 10 year card.

By the time my petition get adjudicated, we will be married for almost 3 years. I don't expect to get an interview notice in 2016. Thanks to "the slowest in the nation" Dallas Field Center. :ranting::ranting::ranting::cry::cry::cry::cry:

No, you are complete right. It'll be 2 years for us in this April and I just filed for adjustment of status, so I still have approx. 11 months to go to even get an interview notice. I don't expect to get an interview waver nor green card in 3 months because I'm still on F-1 visa, and not fiancee/spousal visa. it's a loooooog road for us.

Yep, mine will be in Dallas too and we live 340 miles from Dallas. Nonsense in my opinion. I was hoping I could be transferred to "fast" El Paso Field center, because its closer to us than Dallas, but no... :crying: I live in West Texas by the way, hate it here... can't wait to move back to Central TX.

Sweet! Lucky for you. Just take the excruciating wait a reminder that you don't have to pay $500 for removal of conditions. LOL.

Feels pretty good to be in walking distance of my field office

yep, that's def a big plus :dancing::dancing::dancing:

even though I try not to think that far ahead. This journey has already thought me to take one day at a time and concentrate on small goals that close on the horizon lol.

I just want to receive my EAD card and start working again, I'm so broke at the moment, I just can't stand it. :clock::cry:

I got my letter for Request for Initial Evidence (I-485) today.

Says:

1) Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, was submitted; however, Page 3, Part 4 of the petitioner/sponsor's Form I-864 list someone other than the petitioner/sponsor or Page 3, Part 4 is blank.

The name where I should have put my husband's name is indeed blank, everything else (address) is filled... sigh

Submit a completed and signed Form I-864 for the petitioner/sponsor listed on Form I-130 or Form I-129F. Even if a joint sponsor will be used, the petitioner/sponsor must submit Form I-864. Also, provide copies of the petitioner/sponsor's most recent Federal income tax returns and all supporting tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, Form 2555, and tax schedules)

We provided tax returns and supporting documents the first time, is this just because we're resending a new I-864? Since we sent the original package my husband has done his taxes... would 2015 be considered the most recent tax return now? Can we change the new I-864 on page 6 Most Recent Income to be 2015, even though the old one was 2014?

2) Form I-864 Affidavit of Support was submitted from a joint sponsor; however, the names listed on page 1 and page 3 are not the same.

We did not submit from a joint sponsor, I don't know what this is about, perhaps because of the previous mistake of me leaving my husbands name out on Page 3?

Also, for the cover letter, where I wrote ORIGINAL SUBMISSION, what do I change that two? Revised Submission?

Thanks

I can't help you, but I wanted to say thanks for sharing. Maybe try posting a separate thread so people who have been through this can help you.

Try to call them and talk to a supervisor (I think they're called tier 2).

Best of luck to you.
