A really frustrating update. A week after exactly after we went to the Congressman’s office we received our interview letter. 4 days later we received a cancellation letter due to “unforeseen circumstances”. I called the Congressman’s office and let them know of this and they said if we could we should attend the interview anyway just in case (there have been cases where an interview is cancelled but people get a denial for now showing up!). I had already asked for the day off from work so we decided to go anyway. Our “interview” was yesterday. We showed up at 8:00 am and were let in upstairs, we waited for 10 mins and then they sent us to a different floor where we waited for another 10 mins. Then they told us the interview was cancelled and to wait for the new appointment. They said we could try to get information in the 1st floor but when we went the lady at the booth was really unhelpful and rude. Felt bad for making my husband wake up at 5:30 just to not be able to do anything lol

So now we’re just waiting for a new appointment. We were so helpful that maybe they would be able to see us but no luck. I’m calling the Congressman’s office during my lunch break to let them know what happened. So frustrating. Nothing really to do but wait grrrrrr

It's unpredictable.

What your i485 status says online? What's your local field office? Have you checked the processing times there? It can give you an estimate

I still haven't heard anything regarding my I485. Have an info pass tomorrow morning at 10am. Hopefully I can get some useful information.

Well, I don't know where is my application. The status says : fingerprints fee was recieved. But i did make appointment with local office and they said my case is interview waive, my case is normal, just be more patient. I asked him if they can let me know where is my application now, they said they can't tell exactly but it's in New York. They said they already approved for EAD, so just move on with that and be patient more for GC. I guess all i can do now is waiting.

If it's still with fingerprint fee received status it means you still can skip interview. Hopefully it will change to something, anything, soon. If you have the time, contact your congressperson and try to get them to find where exactly your case is and if they have an estimate

That's horrible, flow up on this with tier 2 to check on any new updates. This doesn't seem fair, they are messing up people's lives here

Anybody changed address?

Anybody in San Jose, CA area?

Anybody still didn't receive transfer notice / interview notice?

I'm waitting more than 8 months and I already submitted the inquiry, but the response is just that they are behind due to the workload... Although they say they are commited to process the cases following the order they were received. Do you guys now how it works? Why some people who filled after me were already approved? I was't requested any additional document.

My case is a family based AOS and I think I will go through interview, because I entered in B2 visa, but I still didn´t receive any transfer notice to the local office It is still at the NBC).

I was planning to travel for Christmas but it looks like I will have to change plans, as I already used my Travel Document once.

I don't think there's a limit on using the Travel Document. But I do remember when filling out the application form, there're options asking you to choose one-time entry or multiple times. For our purposes (adjustment of status), we're eligible of choosing multiple times. I might be wrong but I would assume they would give people multiple entires as long as you're adjusting your status.

I've waited for more than 9 months now and received no REF but still have heard nothing.

Oh that is true. I checked my form and I did choose to enter multiple times and I also looked at the papers that came with the card, one says: "The card is valid for multiple applications for parole into the United States until the expiration date", and the approval notice says "The form I-766 with I-512 endorsment is valid for multiple applications for parole into the United States until the form I-766 expires".

Yay!

Thanks so much!

Now I just have to be prepared to go through the secondary screening in the port of entry again...

Getting really frustrated at this point. Am I the only one who's still waiting for an interview notice among Feb filers?
