Hi guys,

Just wanted to update you and share the good news:

I have received my green card in the mail today!!!! Yay!!!

I had my interview on July 25th and my case was approved last Wednesday due to an RFE for a typed Birth Certificate at our interview. The brith certificate we used for the entire AOS process was hand written which they don't accept from my country. The IO doing the interview told us we were approved but she couldn't update our case status until they received the new birth certificate. We mailed it in and one week later our case status change to"new card produced", "approved" and "card mailed".

I would really like to thank everyone who has given me advice and moral support on this AOS journey especially during my long wait for EAD/AP approval. Hoping to hear more good news as people get approved and receive their GCs!! God bless!

Hey guys- well, finally, after two months, my husband received his SS card yesterday, in the mail...along with a letter, dated August 11th, that said, "You applied for your SS card on June 15th, it should take about 2 weeks to get it..."  Either way, he's happy to finally have it, and he's lucky that he was able to find a job without it!

We are still waiting on the interview to be scheduled- our field office says, "As of June 30, working on November 2014 cases". Sigh...
