So out of curiosity, for the people who filed a service request about their EAD, has the request been answered?

Back when we filed K1 and I was stuck at the Turtle Service Center, I filed a request and it only took days to be answered. Now, it's been a week and I am ready to call again.

I submitted one on day 75 and it got answered 15 days later. The response was that my case was under review and I should receive a decision or RFE within yet another 60 days. They might as well not have bothered!

Today I got two updates on the website for the service request I filed on May 13th. One says request assigned, the second says request completed. Haven't received anything else - no e-mail, text or mail. I had filed the request to get my EAD (approved on April 26th) mailed to me, since they supposedly had the issues with the printer last week of April.

If I recall correctly, I few people had similar updates online to their service requests about a week ago... Any movement since?

We also filed a service request May 27, yesterday we got updates that it was assigned yo an officer and completed.

A few minutes ago, we got an email and text that the card was mailed to us.

Finally, my status for EAD was changed from "card is being produced" to "card was mailed to me". It's been approved from 28 April until now. Hopefully i can get it in few days. I got the text message as well. I think USCIS system starts working now, everyone, check your status then. Good luck to all.

Congratulations!

So out of curiosity, for the people who filed a service request about their EAD, has the request been answered?

Back when we filed K1 and I was stuck at the Turtle Service Center, I filed a request and it only took days to be answered. Now, it's been a week and I am ready to call again.

It took them 11 days to respond to my day-75 service request made on May 10, and it listed case marked for response, case response sent, and case completed all on the same day (May 21). By that time it was 10 days after we got the regular electronic approval for the EAD and AP. In other words, the service request was clearly processed totally separate from the EAD decision and not even coordinated enough to tell us when we called that the case had already been approved on May 2. We also might as well have not bothered, because the Tier 2 officer I spoke with used the service request delay as an excuse to add more time to the 30-day waiting period. While our notice date was May 2, and the emails we received on May 11 said very clearly to notify them if we didn't receive the card within 30 days from date of notice, the officer said since our service request was replied to on May 21, that we have to wait until June 21 to make another request, regardless of the original notice date. Essentially, what I gathered was that they can take as long as they want to answer a service request and then arbitrarily restart the clock from there to buy themselves more time >:(. No movement since then, and I'm hesitant to call them lest they keep adding more time to the wait. Ugh, sorry for the rant, but it's really frustrating that there's so little accountability, especially given the large fees and many hours we spend assembling all the mountains of documentation they require.

At long last.. Hubby's case tracker just updated to Card Was Mailed!!

Wishing the same good news to all other applicants who had EADs pending!

Congratulations, and thank for the good wishes! We definitely need them.

It won't let me edit!

They called me back 10 minutes after I wrote that message, this time the officer was actually nice ( but he refused to give his ID number, I only got the name. )

He told me because I put the request in (Not an officer), they sometimes just don't answer them so he put another one in. I should hear something by June 23rd. We'll see, I don't believe their estimates anymore

Well, I guess all my complaining moved something in the USCIS-verse: just got email and text that EAD status updated to "Card was mailed to me!" Though they give themselves 30 days to deliver it, so I'm still skeptical. I'm assuming it will come as a combo card with the AP permission noted? My wife wants to visit Colombia at the end of the summer; it's the longest she's ever been away from home before.

Let's hope everyone else waiting on EAD news gets similar updates soon!

Nope, only got a notice in the mail. Online status stayed as "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" and didn't change until we were approved at our interview yesterday.
