Hi.

I tried to use that site but I get this message:

"No cases found that match the search criteria" I am using my Alien number and birth date. Please let me know how it works, ?? I called uscis 2 days ago and the agent asked me to not to wait for a green card in the next 7-8months. Not sure if it was just to get ride of me lol or if that is true.

Thanks in advance.

Anna

Did you get approved yet and you are waiting for the actual card? Or waiting for the approval?

In the case of waiting for an approval, that's what all tier 1 would say. They can't see as much as you can. When I called the tier 1 told me I would have to wait at least 6 weeks, according to my local office.

BUT I insisted on getting put through to a tier 2, eventho she said the tier 2 will tell me the same.

Joke's on her, he said my card was approved 2 days ago...

The tier 1 will never be able to tell you more, than you already know (unless you have no receipt number to track it yourself). So the answer will always be "6 months" or something like that. While a tier 2 officer can check where the case is exactly at, and sometimes they can even tell you if you have a waiver or not etc. (since sometimes they don't show that either)

What i'm saying is, in this case, you just got a standard answer, that doesn't get you anywere further...

Thank you SanneW

I am waiting for approval, I got a notification that my case was transferred to the Tucson office and I called about that, they said the Memphis office is backlog that's why they did it; to "expedite" my case and at that office they are actually working in late august 2015 cases ?

I would say (but im not sure honestly) you might just slip through and have an interview waiver and get lucky... Just don't lose hope =) there's a chance

I hope so too, I am praying for it ??

Since they lost my EAP application I thought they will just approve my green card lol

? This process is really testing my patience.

Oh wow! Okay, I am barely at 4 weeks, so more waiting aaarrrggh. The K1/AOS is real life lesson in "learning" patience!

Under my Case check I could literally see when it was "Case Under Review" (which took 6 days). Now I see "Case Returned to Agency" status but it still says its in Maryland SSA...?

I guess more patience and will go check in my local office on Monday. USCIS is in the same federal building so I might just as well go there, too.

Thanks for the heads up!!!

The was helpful. Thank you!!!! I checked mine and it says Maryland too. I'm here in CA tho..

keep studying Girl the questions are tricky :)

Haha. I remember taking the test when I was 15 or 16. I failed once. Then my husband comes along about a month ago and I told him to study because rules here are different, but he did not listen to me at all. Not once did he look at the book. He took the test and passed with a 95 or something. Urg. What a Smarty Pants. lol

I do have a question for you all though. Currently no Green Card and my husband REALLY wants to finish up his Engineering degree, but he can't apply as a resident of the State and if he applies to school, it would have to be as an international student, which is crazy expensive. Is this reason enough to expedite a case?

Oh okay, now it makes sense! But don't worry, if Newark's office says they're handling cases from April 2015 on the website and the tier 2 rep. told me they're actually handling cases from November 2015, then New York must be currently processing cases from Jan. or Feb. 2016. ;)

If you have an interview scheduled for AOS does it tell you the date on the USCIS website or do you just get a notice through the mail?

Hey! Yes, when the website is actually functioning normally, they will show the date on the case status check. But then again, people have been complaining of it not working at all lately, so you could actually receive the letter only.
