Awesome MASH! gratz! The same approval date as me! I called uscis with the question when to expect it: "within 60 days". That answer got me so frustrated since it really gets me nowere and leaves me in the dark as always...

But i keep hoping we get the cards soon! Will let u kno if i got mine so u kno ^^

Hey guys, I need help please!

Like I have mentioned before, I filed I-130 for my parents who also filed I-485 and I-765. My dad's EAD had been approved already, but mom's hasn't. Both are "Ready to be scheduled for an interview" but I also know that the Newark local office is very backlogged, so I'm almost sure they won't be getting an interview appointment anytime soon. Problem is that they were offered two tickets to Portugal to go visit my grandparents and they did not submit I-131( advanced parolee).

Can we submit it now that everything has been sent already?

If yes, will they have to do fingerprints again?

Also, what should I mention on the explanation on I-131 form? The only "emergency" is that they might lose those tickets and also the fact that my grandparents are getting very old. Will that work?

I doubt it will take 60 days but I think they say that cause if they say less days and you don't get it they will be bombarded with endless calls from people waiting for there card, I have a feeling we will get it in a week or 2

So I got my AP/EAD combo card on April 25th, it was approved on April 19th.

I got a letter for an Green Card interview dated April 26th with an interview date for May 31st. Not bad since I got an RFIE on March 29th - does not look like anything was slowed down :-)

Hi guys,

I've been posting in the March filers thread because I sent my AOS/EAD/AP application on Feb 29th. However, my EAD/AP still hasn't been approved and my case status has not changed from "case received" on the tracker. Today is now 70 days so I called USCIS and talked to a rep but, they just told me my case has been received and to call back after 75 days.

It seems silly to make me wait 5 days when they could start a service request now. I thought they would have better information for me than the tracker but they just told me the same info as the tracker.

Is there anyone still waiting this long for EAD/AP approval? The waiting is driving me crazy.

Yes, you can still submit I765 and/or I130 after you submitted your I485/I130. I just submitted my I765/130 two weeks ago. Remember to attach a copy of I485 with you so that USCIS would waive the fee for you. I don't think you need to do a fingerprints again. As far as explanation goes, you don't need one since you are applying it through Adjustment of Status.

Usually most people get their card a day or two after they get the notice so i hope you get yours soon so you can start working!

this is just a thought ,

since your interview is on the 18th wouldn't you just get the green card and they wont issue you a EAD/AP since your close to it?

No, they can't guarantee my husband would just get the GC even though I'm pretty positive we will. They are all separate applications for a reason, so I should be receiving the EAD/AP soon.

Anybody here tried applying for DL just with EAD? I still have to wait for homeland security's verification before ssa issues me my social number which they said will take 4-6 weeks... :/

Oh no...our manual verification took 6.5 weeks, and I had to contact my congressman to expedite the SSN...so annoying!

As others have said, you can file AP after AOS without any fee. Please read the form instructions. It is written clearly on there...your pending AOS is reason enough to leave the country, and you don't need to provide any explanation.

I'm also hoping we both hear something soon. At lease, I'm glad I'm not the only one who's EAD/AP is taking so long. Please let me know when you receive your approval notice. I'll keep you posted of any changes on my end as well. Good Luck!
