Nope. Nada. I'm in a more specific situation than the rest of you guys I think. This EAD approving process is taking longer than I expected this time around. I already have a EAD card from my OPT via F1 visa and it only took 75ish days.

EDIT: Actually now that you got me wondering, does a RFIE/RFE notice show up in your online myUSCIS account? Under "Case History". I'm seriously hoping I didn't miss a RFIE mail.

im the same case as you im adjusting from F1 and i had an ead for opt. I got approved for the aos ead last week though

Hello - I can't seem to find the person who posted about the 4 weeks for SSN. It happened to me too, they said they could not find me in the system. Not sure why.

Also for those wondering about RFIE and EAD/AP, I got an RFIE, sent a response immediately and had my EAD/AP approved 13 days later and also received my card 3 days after the approval. A Combo.

My RFIE was an error on Form I-864 and they wanted our 1040 for 2014 OR 2015.

I sure will!! I have heard from experts on VJ that it is best to wait at least 1 or 2 weeks so that the new work authorized status appears properly in the database. I got approved on the 19th, 10 days sounds decent to me. But if I have any trouble tomorrow I will let you know... My only concern is that now that my GC was approved yesterday, I wonder if that is going to affect the process at all as I was reading that there are 3 different types of SSN. who knows I will find out tomorrow ^_^

While we are on the topic of SSN's. Do we need to get a new after being approved for GC (ie. are we supposed to get one that doesn't state valid for work only with DHS authorization?)

I went to get my SSN yesterday and the lady said to wait for a few weeks ( she seemed uncomfortable when she told us to wait for it in the mail ). Lesson learned from yesterday (maybe just for LA) get there early ! We arrived there before the door was opened and there already a long line !
