Francais_usa someone in the march forum just got their ead/ap approved..this is 11 days after he got scheduled for a May 17th interview....so let's cross this fingers tighter

Awesome HopeFab, thank you! I hope we get those approvals soon. The EAD/AP applications are a piece of cake compared to the I485. And someone in March already has an interview?! That's so crazy how some people's timelines are way faster than others. Here's to hoping ours progresses quickly!

Thanks for the insight everyone and it was just a request for evidence .

Ok that's good! Your timeline shouldn't be too much slower then.

I've been reading some people asking about if an RFIE delays the EAD/AP process.

I got a RFIE 14 days after my biometrics for the I-864 form, we calculated household size incorrectly and did not provide a full 2014 tax return. We were asked to submit the corrected form and also the 1060 for either 2014 or 2015. We sent in both plus my husbands savings account balance for the last six months.

My EAD/AP was approved in 68 days, almost 2 weeks before the projected completion so there was not a delay. I think is just depends, there are no rules. I am just so thankful.

Now I'm just waiting on the I-485 - that might have been delayed because of the RFIE.

Here is my timeline:

Adjustment of Status

02/02/2016 - POE in Vancouver

02/02/2016 - Married in Sacramento

02/12/2016 - Filed I-485/I-765/I-131

02/21/2016 - NOAs received via text & email

02/24/2016 - NOAs for all three I-485/I-765/I-131

02/27/2016 - Notice date for biometrics

03/17/2016 - Biometrics appt

03/29/2016 - USCIS emails requesting initial evidence (1060 & corrected household size for I-864)

04/04/2016 - Receive paper copy of RFIE

04/06/2016 - Send Initial Evidence via overnight express

04/11/2016 - Receive text/email from USCIS that evidence received April 8, 2016

04/19/2016 - Receive text/email from USCIS that EAD and AP was approved

Okay, sorry for two posts in a row, but a few minutes later we got a notification saying AP is approved as well. I-485 case status is still "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview", but we don't care much now that everything else is on its way! :)
