Great news for everyone! Green cards printing, twins! Wow.

Okay I need your help! I got my RFE today...super sad, as I have a wedding planned for July and a stag in June in Toronto! I am hoping we make it. Basically spent all last week in tears waiting for the RFE, your VJ wisdom and help is greatly appreciated.

The RFE is related to our tax returns. It states that the we need a COMPLETE Federal Tax return submitted to the IRS for the most recent tax year. It has it written 2014 or 2015 1040.

Basically - I want to know what people submitted for their tax returns? And if anyone knows what is meant by complete tax return. I thought we had submitted a complete one but was wrong.

Did your return have all the appropriate schedules attached? If not, you need to attach that. You should complete the 2015 tax return at this point since it so close to the deadline and your RFE is due past the deadline. Also attach W2s or 1099 corresponding to that return. To make it easier, you can just ask the IRS for a tax transcript, which will have a complete return and w2 info included. I'm not sure if the IRS can send trancripts for 2015, so I would look that up. Good luck!

I ordered a return transcript for 2015 two weeks ish ago and received it today for my husband just incase I get an RFE I thought better be safe.

So to answer your question returns transcripts for 2015 are available.

Well I just checked and my case is ready for interview date which I am happy but I really wish there was no interview , I'm nervous like crazy cause me n my husband have nothing under our names together yet do to his work schedule , when would I get the physical letter does anyone know?, I'm getting butterflies in my tummy

I wish there was no interview and they would just mail the green card lol

I think the green card interview will be really relaxed, I wouldn't worry too much about it yet. My husband and I don't have anything in our names, either. Just bring all the evidence you can.

I am shocked as well, I thought I was get my EAD/AP first and then later on they will do the whole interview thing , they haven't givin me an actual date for interview yet just that they are scheduling now but I think I should know sometime this week when he date will be , I'm just hoping my husbands job would give him a break and let him come to the interview with me

And I think we have to have everything in each other's names cause I heard people got denied for not having everything under there names together which i think it's nuts lol

I have to call USCIS and ask about my receipt numbers... Been a month since my NOA 1 and only 1 works on myUSCIS! Starting to think something is screwed up!

Congrats to everyone making progress!!

We got called in for an interview too. Here's what we're bringing as evidence:

• Bank statement from our joint account
• Lease for our house under both our names
• Renters insurance under both our names
• Photos of our wedding and adventures post-wedding
• Receipts and travel itineraries under both our names from trips we've taken post-wedding

sorry to hear that ... which bank are you with? I've heard mixed reports depending on where you go, and it depends on the state/city and bank.

Wells Fargo in CO let me open an account without an SSN & my wife also had an account at Wells Fargo.

We then opened a joint account at the bank... since we were both existing account holders, it took about 5 minutes to open a joint account.

I opened my bank account with TD Bank when Inwas F-1 without a SSN

Maybe that could be an option for a bank too
