I was sitting at the computer, playing video games, so my phone was charging on the coffee table, next to my husband. It started going crazy with text and email notification and hubby picked it up. We both were wondering what the hell was going on! Then, he read my messages and saw it was USCIS.

He thinks they work on weekend to pick up the slack, me think their system is slow as hell.

Funny cause my and my hubby were playing video games as well and my hubby hear his phone blowing up also

They sure are funny with there timing, I truly hope they are working on the weekend to get caught up with all the work load

It would be awesome if they did, but after the 6 months I had to wait at TSC for my NOA 2, I don't think they would. It's not the same place, but still!

Still waiting for my biometrics letter hopefully see if this week or next.

Has anyone gotten their SSN name change mine is still pending with DHS.

My husband is still waiting on his SSN from our original submission...it's been 5 weeks. I was so frustrated, I wrote to my congressman recently.

Mine took exactly a week for both the initial SSN and the second card (name change). When did you send out your application? I did mine at an office both times, not sure if that helped speed things up.

My husband is also French and has been waiting for his SSN for over 6 weeks. Please let me know if contacting the congressman helps. Our SSN office says they can't do anything.

BTW, little update on our biometrics delay: turns out we got an RFE. So that might explain the wait. We haven't gotten the letter yet, but I hope it's something small that we can fix quickly.

Ugh sucks about the RFE--I hope it's something minor, too.

As for the SSN, I'll keep you updated. I just wrote my congressman today and I think I'll call the SSA again this week to check. We already tried going back in person, and there's nothing they can do. So frustrating!

Got my biometrics letter on friday, scheduled for 03/18 at 11:00 am at the Holtsville, NY centre. Hope everyone gets the letter in the mail soon!!

Mine took exactly a week for both the initial SSN and the second card (name change). When did you send out your application? I did mine at an office both times, not sure if that helped speed things up.

It took like four days to get my first one after I POEd then after I got married I went in with all the paperwork to get my name changed but apparently my middles names were entered incorrectly so it's being held up at homeland security. I call the office every week and they still say it's pending.

I see you're filing in NY too. Hopefully everything will be on track and you will get your biometrics letter pretty soon as well!

I've had attempted to do a Biometrics walk-in app today and I was successful. It took just 10 mins if that. the ASC was empty and employees were excited to finally have a customer.

App was originally scheduled for 03/15/2016
