Ugh sometimes I wish the system was more linear in its processing so that those who filed first get processed first. This seemingly sporadic processing makes everything seem to be so much worse lol

K-1 Visa Process (182 days from I-129F filed -> Visa in Hand)

 

 

May 10th, 2015: Got Engaged!

June 12th 2015: Fiance filed I-129F, June 19th, 2015: (NOA1) Received at California Service Center

July 23rd, 2015: (NOA2) NVC received

Aug 31st, 2015: NVC Approved and fwd case to consulate in Montreal. MTL case # given.

Sept 8th, 2015: MTL received and sent P3 by mail, Sept 18th, 2015: P3 received in mail, Sept 18th, 2015: DS-160 completed and P3 documents sent by e-mail

Sept 21st, 2015: P3 Approved. Received P4 by e-mail, Sept 21st, 2015: Booked K-1 Visa interview for December 2nd, 2015!!

Oct 2nd, 2015: Booked Medical in Toronto for November 12th, 2015

Nov. 12th, 2015: Medical done in Toronto, ON with Dr Lyndon Mascarenhas. Highly recommend him!!

Nov. 17th, 2015: Medical results delivered by Purolator

Dec. 2nd, 2015: Interview in Montreal... APPROVED!!!!

Dec. 9th, 2015: CEAC status changed to Issued!

Dec. 11th, 2015: Ready for pickup at Waterloo location. Picked up and Visa in Hand!

 

K-1 AOS Process (72 days from I-485 filed -> Green Card in Hand)

Feb. 23rd, 2016: Biometrics letter in mail received for Feb 29th!

Feb. 23rd, 2016: SSN received in the mail

Feb. 29th, 2016: Successful Biometrics appointment in Tampa, FL

April 7th, 2016: Green Card in production!!!

April 11th, 2016: Green Card in Mail

April 13th, 2016: Received Green Card :)

 

 

Removal of Conditions Process

Jan 16th, 2018: Mailed Form I-751 to CSC

Jan 18th, 2018: USPS Delivered to CSC

Jan. 24th, 2018: NOA1 received in the mail

Just got my hardcopy NOA1's today. Sent my package Feb 4, it was received the 9th and NOA text notifications/e-mails were received on the 16th.

K1, EAD/AP + AOS + ROC = 0 RFE's

 

Next step: Citizenship!

We got our Biometrics letter today for 03/02/2016 at the Brooklyn Office. (L)

My husband and I applied for AOS based on F3 category. Today I received his biometrics appointment for March 02!!! ???

Mine is missing and hope that I will receive it tomorrow!!! ????

Completely agree it makes you feel like they forgot about you when people get their info before you.

I came here on a K1 in 10/1/13, got married on 11/23/13. We Filed on the 16th. Our packet was shown as delivered on the 17th but we haven't received our NOA1 text/emails yet :clock:

Did anyone do a medical exam and sent it with their I-485 when they filed?

My lawyer told me to go ahead and do it and send it, that way it will speed the process up since they won't have to ask for it later on.

I also did and sent a medical, I'm pretty sure it's required (if you haven't already done one - for the people who came on K1).

I think only one person in this Feb filing thread has gotten a biometrics letter.

Looks a few people got their biometrics letter already. I just checked my mail today and found mine too. My appointment is on 2/29 in West Sacramento, CA. Interestingly, I had an entry in my calendar that I should receive this letter by today, based on other people's timeline.

If marriage longer than 2 years before applying for AOS you will get a Permanent GC.

no exactly correct. It just needs to be 2 years when AoS is being adjudicated which is usually right after the interview. Edited by pilotkausa

  • 03/15/16 Successful alternate location biometrics walk-in completed in Milwaukee, WI (on actual appointment date
  • 04/19/16 I-765 approved and new card ordered
  • 04/23/16 EAD received
  • 01/09/17 Case scheduled for interview - notice received in the mail
  • 02/14/17 AOS Interview - approved at the interview - happy Valentine's Day!
  • 03/21/17 Two Year Card received!

I think mine must have got lost. Still nothing and they received them on the 5th. Should I refile? My K1 expires 11th of March so need it in before then.
