filing I-130 in Peru (split topic)

PS: I am in the process of putting together my I-130 packet for my spouse (Peruvian).

What do you mean when you say "official date" or something to send in the packets by? 3 month cycles or something? I don't even know if I'm saying it correctly.

1. Country USC resides in: I reside in Peru.
2. Is there a USCIS field office in this country / Is DCF still possible? Yes, in Lima. I plan on presenting the packet there.
3. When did you file the I-130: I will be filing March 2016.
4. How long had you been living abroad: Almost 3 years.
5. Do you reside in the country legally? Yes.
6. What is the reason for your residence: United States Peace Corps Volunteer
7. Did you list your foreign address on all forms in I-130 package? No, I put my US address.. should I put my foreign address on there?

ALSO: In Peru I have a physical address and also a separate mailing address.. should I note this on the paperwork?

8. Did you send I-130 package from abroad? I plan to March 2016 This means I can't use the form to be notified that they received the paperwork, right? (Lockbox only it says).
9. Did you include evidence of your residence abroad in the I-130 package? I can... a letter from the Peace Corps stating I live and work in the country... is this necesary?
10. Did you mention the fact you reside abroad in the cover letter or write a letter describing your current situation and the evolution of your relationship with your spouse (mentioning your residence abroad)? No... does this seem important or the fact that I say I work with the Peace Corps kinda cover it?

I do appreciate any and all help. I am still new to this process and just trying to make sense of it all. Thanks again.

Since you are able to do DCF. A lot of the posters here can't do DCF and have to use the Lockbox.

OK Now that I know what DCF is...

When I turn in my I130 packet... does my spouse HAVE TO come with me to do it? He lives 10 hrs from the consular office and will just be easier for me as I often travel to Lima for work business.

I don't think he has too. I know in South Africa it wasn't required. But I would e-mail or call just to confirm.

I would just put that you are in Peru because you are with the Peace Corps, and include your visas.

Here in Peru, I have a physical address and also a MAILING address. Which should I put on the form? I'm thinking the physical but also attach a sheet of paper saying that I have both a physical and mailing. Since they will most likely be sending me things by the local mail service, am I right?

Hey Cheyenne,

I did DCF in South Africa,

We didn't get 1 thing in mail. It was all done by e-mail. I would do as you suggested. Put physical address, but state that you have both.
