Okie so with the grace of Allah the Almighty my Visa has been approved and I will be leaving for States soon. But there is one problem for which i need help from you guys. My Wife started changing right before my interview was going to happen let say a month before my interview. I needed some documents from her which i needed to take to the interview but she not only refused to give me i.e (Original Signed affidavit of Support forms) but also instructed our consultant not to help me in this as well. She didn't even gave a single copy of any document which we have sent to NVC till the time of interview despite of my demands anyways she started to fight with me every day and few days before the interview she demanded divorce and told me that if I dont give her divorce she will opt for khula. I tried to put sense into her as we have been married for three years and have been apart for like almost two years and gone through the hassle of immigration which was so long and tiring journey and when the destination is near she is doing that to me. I also asked her to tell me honestly if she is involved with some one else as when you are far away bad thing can happen but she refused there is no such thing like that just she doesn't want to live with me any more and doesn't want me to come to USA. With a broken heart I still went to the interview and surprisingly the interview went smooth and the CO only asked few questions and told me he is issuing me the Visa. Now my wife knows that my visa got approved and its IR1 visa and she has threaten me that she will not let me enter into USA and will make me deport. I might have to fly through the Abu Dhabi airport and that will be my POE so my questions are

1. Can my wife stop me at the POE through immigration officers or stop me from entering the USA?

2. Can she stop my green card from issuance as the address of green card delivery and Social Security card I have mentioned was of hers?

3. Is there any possibility if I reach USA I can change the delivery address of my green card and Social security card?

4. I havent deposit the 160$ green card processing fee yet will it adversely effect me at POE and in how much time i have to submit this fee once in the USA?

5. And lastly do i need to hire a lawyer incase the situation gets worse as she is not responding to my calls or replying to my texts?

I shall be very grateful to you guys if some one can give me detailed answers to my question. Thank you all.

I totally agree with you. But as I have said i tried to put sense into her but she is not responding to my messages or attending my calls. I think it is better that i go there and talk with her mother and grand parents besides i dont know with what stories she has filled up their ears.

I shall be very grateful to you guys if some one can give me detailed answers to my question. Thank you all.

1. Can my wife stop me at the POE through immigration officers or stop me from entering the USA? Your wife can alert Border control and the embassy about you not being welcomed in her home and that you have no place to stay. Remember you are suppose to be immigrating to your wife. Thissn;t suppose to be a Visa to roam the US.

2. Can she stop my green card from issuance as the address of green card delivery and Social Security card I have mentioned was of hers? Same as above

3. Is there any possibility if I reach USA I can change the delivery address of my green card and Social security card? Only if you have access to the account setup.

4. I havent deposit the 160$ green card processing fee yet will it adversely effect me at POE and in how much time i have to submit this fee once in the USA? It's $165 and not required to pay before you leave. But why are you so focused on the green card?

5. And lastly do i need to hire a lawyer in case the situation gets worse as she is not responding to my calls or replying to my texts? What do you think a lawyer can do? You have no rights in this manner. Sure you can show up in US and disappear and probably get your green card . A lawyer can't make your wife answer text or the phone she is not breaking any law.

We are not divorced yet nor I have any intentions of divorcing her I m trying my best to sort out the issues she is the one who isn't willing to do so. Secondly if that is so easy for her to back off then why do they make them sign affidavit of support and other thing both of you are focusing on green card like I m doing some crime coming there when she doesn't want me too she isn't willing to come to Pakistan so I have to go there you think relocating to a different country is that easy I m going there to sort out things once and for all and both of u started judging me coz she is a woman and naturally I'll be the one on mistake

It was you that seemed to focus on the green card in your initial post. Other people picked up on it because you mentioned it. It seems you've already decided to go to the US and not live with her because you're asking about having the documents sent to an alternative address. The visa is for you to live with your wife. That's why it was granted. If you love her, surely you want to find a way to make it work, rather than find a way to avoid her (such as having stuff sent elsewhere)? That's why I suggested a time out while you both think about what you want in this relationship. Maybe you both need time to think and calm down.

The issues you are "trying your best to sort out" are all for your benefit, not hers. You're focusing on getting your green card so you can live to where you want to be. What are you doing for your marriage and for your wife?

If she doesn't want to be with you, if that's her final decision, then you can't force her to.

Honestly, if my husband said he didn't love me anymore and didn't want to be with me, my unpaid green card fee would be the last thing on my mind. I'd just want my husband back. I'd be lost without him. And I'd give him all the time he needs to think about it without talking of lawyers because he doesn't answer my calls. Why do you want to make her more angry if you love her?

Dear Atif799 stop jumping from the boat of your assumptions. it is a forum where people are suppose to get help rather targeted for some false justification people like you build up in their minds. And regarding the post you are referring is not another lady its her grandmother who was a co sponsor if you read the post with open eyes u would have known. Now AFH as i stated earliar I have tried every thing to reconcile the matter I have ton of texts and mails which shows we both care for each other. We are not newly marred couple we have been married for three years and we haven't started the immigration process right after we got married but we gave it some time till we decide to move further with it and when this long journey was about to end she decided to end it just by saying oh i dont want to live with you and disappear. I think any one with sane mind would be thinking she must be joking. And my wife is not some random girl that I met online and decided to marry her for the sake of green card she is my far cousin and her father side family has very good terms now i cant share each and every detail for the sake of some one else biased opinion regarding my marriage thing is I asked simple questions just to know what could happen in the worse scenarios and my fellow country man started crying I am spoiling his image where as i just needed the answer to simple questions thats it.

She may not have carried out her withdrawal threat and you may be

able to get into the US, just try it.

I find these last minute "it's over" games by any USC appalling. After years of jumping through hoops 5 min before 12 she decides to
end it ? Unless there is a very good reason of course and she is justified to not want to be with you. At the very least she should have

given you a reason.

If you get here then stay here, why not, it is your right, the visa has been issued. Talk to her if she changes her mind or divorce and move on.

I see no fraud. Good luck !

If her family side has good terms with you then chill. She will NOT deport you

Even if she wanted to she has no authority to deport anyone.

In a previous thread of OP claims another lady with a joint sponsor filled his AOS.It seems his wife is NOT involved in this immigration process. This is a fraud case guys.

You are full of assumptions and speculations. Stop accusing someone of fraud just because you don't connect the dots on their co sponsor.

In simple words, you are going just to get green card and MAKING this story .If she was against you,she could have called them anytime to take affidavit of support back. Many pakistani guys are doing this. Please dont ruin her life forGodsake. Its because of such greedy people that we pakistanis are being disgraced throughout world.

She ruined HIS life, not the other way around.

I might have to fly through the Abu Dhabi airport and that will be my POE so my questions are

You have no reason to come to the US.

Good luck in Pakistan.

Ryan gave you the correct answer. Right now you have an approved visa. When you enter the US you get the GC. Up to the point that you enter the US when the visa is cancelled and the GC is issued your spouse can pull support. No one here can tell you if she has pulled support, if she is bluffing or if it will be pulled in time.

Here is a thread from kkk1. He was in a similar situation. He was able to enter the US as his spouse did not pull support. I would urge you to read the entire thread as it contains a lot of advice about confronting a person who doesnt want anything to do with you and potential legal issues and the moral quandary of using a family reunification visa to not reunite with your family.

What people have said abut you getting denied is true, as visas do not guarantee you access to the US. This is especially true if the proper authorities are alerted of any issues with the marriage. I don't know much about the impact of your wife retracting the I-184 and have seen a lot of debate on here about whether or not this is actually effective, but since your green card hasn't yet been sent out as you haven't entered the US I assume it has much more weight than if you were already in the US.

Since you have been married for 3 years, it is not easily apparent to me so I have to ask if you will be a conditional resident (CR-1) or an immediate resident (IR-1) among entrance. I assume the CR since you probably weren't married the full 2 years when you first applied, but I just want to be sure.

If you are in fact a CR, then you may run into issues as I believe you still have to file for Removal of Conditions upon 2 years from the date you entered the country. There are way for separated spouses to still get their permanent residency approved when they don't file jointly, but generally you have to prove that there was a bona fide marriage from the start. I can't imagine that your wife having and affair and wanting to divorce you before you even entered the country will count as a positive in that regard...

I could be wrong about any and all of this since I'm not super well versed on spousal visas we went the fiance route, but either way the point stands is that there is the possibility that you will run into issues because of this..

I am not going to even touch the problem of you coming to the US when it seems pretty clear that your wife no longer wants you to...
