So I have been searching around and haven't seen any talk about it.. Is no one concerned about the Zika Virus outbreak???

I am sending off my I-129F this Tuesday and I am extremely concerned that something will go wrong..

So I guess my main concerns are:

1. Will immigration be effected by the outbreak of this virus?

2. What were to happen if my fiancee, currently in Sao Paulo, Brazil, had the virus? (As far as immigration goes)

3. Am I the only one freaking out about this???

Thanks for your input! Hopefully I got this in the right section and this topic hasn't already been brought up.

Well hopefully if she had the virus they would rightfully deny her entry.

immigration may be affected by the virus. But if it came to that, I think it will only affect those people who are already here if they will be given temporary protected status. I requested an humanitarian expedite for the lassa fever out break in my fiances home country and I believe that they denied it or are ignoring me. So there. They will probably let the virus run its course. It apparently only has a real affect on pregnant women otherwise it is just a virus. If your fiance is pregnant and in that area, you may want to pursue a humanitarian expedite request.

I´m freaking out about it too...

I´m a doctor here in Brazil and even us (doctors) are not 100% secure to talk about how many time the virus remain active in the body.

I have been studying a lot about it these last days, and WHO (World Health Organization) and CDC (Center for Disease Control) are just saying: "we still don´t know"...

Maybe that´s why my I-30 is taking forever... :(

I´m scared that they will delay our process because of it. I even had a talk with my lawyer about it and he said that there´s nothing to do about, for now. I´m not pregnant, so... Nothing to do, unfortunately.

JUST AN OBSERVATION: We need a concerted, coordinated approach to the Zika outbreak,” said Møllmann, “one that fully respects the human rights and autonomy of those at risk." - See more at: http://physiciansforhumanrights.org/press/press-releases/zika-virus-highlights-limitations-to-reproductive-health-policies-in-affected-countries.html#sthash.e29o6pa6.dpuf

I´LL START TO LIVE BACK AGAIN WHEN I´LL BE ON MY HUBBY´S ARMS, FOREVER AND EVER. UNTIL THERE, I DON´T LIVE. I SURVIVE. (L)
