VWP question

Hi guys,

I am such a worrier and I'm sorry for asking so many questions on the forums. I was previously able to stay for a full six weeks with my fiancé in March/April in the US on the VWP but due to university I can now only go for two. I already had a return flight booked for six weeks and realized if I wanted to change the return date, I would incur a change fee & the cost of the next flight. My question is, I have now booked a one way return flight with another airline for one way return ticket 2 weeks after my arrival. But clearly I won't be cancelling my other ticket until I arrive in the US so to avoid any extra charge as I will still be traveling with the return still valid. Is this going to cause any issues at border control as I have 2 return tickets to my name?

Kinda annoying too as before I was worried about a 6 week stay seeming like a long time and now I can only even stay for 2! Seems like I'm always worrying about something haha so thanks for your patience guys!

You will be fine.

To be on the safe side, keep your boardingpass when you do fly home and a few days later, check your ESTA to make sure it shows you as having left.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
