Approveme, it WILL happen!

It took me 4 months to get pregnant with my first son (at 26 yrs old)

10 months for my second son (30 yrs old)....so I was amazed that I got pregnant the second month of trying at my age (39).

Relax ........ :P

Awwww. (F) If I could I sure would. I was 20 and 23 at the time, maybe thats why I got pregnant fast. I know you hate when people tell you it will happen. It really will. (F) Did you say you have been trying for three months now?

I know it's well intentioned but I am SO SICK of the "just relax and it will happen" replies. I hear it from effing EVERYBODY - friends, family, people off the street. I just want to say "F YOU! I'll stress about it if I want to because you know what? I don't have a choice!"

We're on cycle 3 of trying. And of course, everyone in both my and my hubby's families got pregnant right off the bat - first time trying.

Frig, I feel like crying now.

it took me SEVEN months... i remember being stressed and worried after 2 months of trying... 3 months of trying... and there will be that little voice (or big) in the back of your mind each month... i hated everyone telling me to relax and that it wouldnt happen till nursing school was over and i wasnt so stressed anymore... and what i hate even more is they were right

maybe your hormones are kicking in...

best of luck

Pinkroses, I don't hate when people tell me it will happen, just when they say to relax. And yes, this is our 3rd month. I test in a few days but I have absolutely no symptoms, so I'm pretty sure this month is a no-go. On to cycle 4.

Yeah, that's the main problem. Not so much that it didn't happen in the first month or two, but that it will happen AT ALL. What if I'm broken?? I know, it's like "no you're not, you're just fine, don't worry!" but honestly, soooooooooo many women have fertility problems these days. My sister-in-law has PCOS and it took her 22 months to conceive.

Thanks ladies! Approvemedammit I know how you feel... we've been married for a year, and while we haven't been making any particular effort to try and get pregnant we haven't been trying NOT to either. We've only made three or four attempts (doing the pillow thing etc.) and it really sucks to do all that and then get your period next day or next week and know nothing happened...

I have dubious fertility and I don't want to go the medical route, and I was so stressed about it that I didn't even want to have sex because it made me want to cry! But now I've decided that I'm not even going to THINK about it. If God wants me to get pregnant it'll happen...

and I have to say, laundry for the sake of it is MUCH better than 'gotta-make-a-baby-if-it-kills-us' laundry!

If you are having problems getting pregnant, I recommend a book called "Taking Charge of Your Fertility: The Definitive Guide to Natural Birth Control, Pregnancy Achievement, and Reproductive Health" by Toni Weschler.

There is also a very helpful "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" message board out there. If you would like the url, please e-mail me. I would post the link here, but I'm not sure if it's allowed or not....

approvemedammit, No! You don't have to temp every day (you can choose to temp a couple of times a month, during your fertile time). Actually, you don't have to temp at all. You can monitor other things that are going on in your body to determine your ovulation date...

I don't want to gross anybody out, so I am not posting the details here

We are not trying to conceive right now, but, thanks to the book, I know EXACTLY when I ovulate every month! It is actually quite FUN!

well, fertility docs usually dont see anyone until they have actively tried for over a year without success, so you have quite a while before anyone in the medical community would even suspect you could have a problem... and remember that you are not the only part of this equation... women seem to take the weight of everything onto themselves... you may not be broken at all even if you dont get pregnant...

and if your sis-in-law got pregnant even with problems... surely you will without them!

fall back to your faith... there is a time for all things... god will bless you when it is the correct time... that may not be much comfort... or it may be all the comfort in the world...

prayers and best wishes

We were't trying...we actually thought we had been careful... It happened last june when we were visiting my family in my homecountry, since the house was always full of people we could only do it twice...once again we thought we had been careful... instead here I am 35 weeks pregnant with our first baby boy. (L) The plan was to wait a little longer before having kids, but now we are both very very happy he is coming and especially about the way it happened...I am a very anxious person by nature and I am kinda glad I didn't have to deal with the stress of trying to get pregnant and all.

Good luck to all those who are trying and congrats to all the expecting couples (F)

We'll start planning babies this coming May... and to be honest I'd be stressed if I don't get pregnant in the first four months. Well, I guess I shouldn't be concerned aboud that just right now.

approvemedammit I really understand you. :)(F)
