Okay i may have a problem.

After we filled the I-130 and got to NVC, my wife moved to US with our kids.

She is now living at my sponsors house, so the AOS is no longer correct i think.

What will be the best option for me?

Hi guys! I am sorry, I know this topic has been beaten to death but I need one more wack at it! Taxes 2015 - :)

Our interview is March 24th, and I am the petitioner and filed my taxes for 2015. I know now I have to harass my lawyer to fill out a new I-864 (AOS) form so it reflects my 2015 tax return (so my hubby will have it at his interview). My husband will also have my 2015 1040 and W2's, our tax transcripts from 2014, 2013 and 2012 (he will have that just encase too). Question is do I have to update my letter from my employer as well with my 2015 income year amount, it is about $1,765 difference since last year and this year. I am assuming yes, but before I go through the hoops of talking with our HR again, just want to make sure. Thank you!!

WOOHOO!!! Congrats :)

Your 2015 W2 clearly shows your income. You do not need an employer's letter for 2015. If you are barely over the 125% of the poverty line, you might wish to get an employer's letter for PROJECTED 2016 income just to prove you can still support your family at the level the US expects.

Personally, I do not think you need any more employer's letters.

No need to translate. If original documents are in the language of the country where the embassy/consulate is, you don't need to translate.

if you want to make 100% sure, go to your embassy/consulate specific guidelines and you can confirm there.

Thanks I just wanted to make sure with some one else. I had already read that

In their website. Thanks again.

Hi Sukie! I am way over the poverty guidelines, so I definitely wouldn't need a projected letter for 2016 or anything. I am just scared if I have my current 2015 1040 tax return and my employment letter shows a different amount earned, the CO might question it since it is now a $1,700 difference. To be on the safe side I figured just get an updated letter matching my gross income for 2015. :)

Husband appoinment is in one week. We haven't file our 2015 income neither has our sponsor. We where told that we dont need the 2015 because his interview will take place before the deadline to file a 2015 income tax. Is this info correct or do I need to file before the interview.
