Well, I just called NVC nd spoke to a customer Rep who told me that my case is in transit to the embassy in Lagos because its an expedite case. She says the embassy would generate an interview appointment date for me as soon as the file gets there. She advice me to get to the embassy after 1 week concerning my appointment. Yayyyy!!!!

Congrats same here! im expedite and it says READY it shows on ceac last updated 2/18/16. But no interview yet i will call next week. Hope you hear good news soon!

But we have been married for 8 years and have 2 kids.

So hello to everyone I need real help because I am freaking out . So I read on the website of my embassy that the I-864 must be sealed by an American Notary .I Really dont understand beacuse we sent one the NVC that was not sealed just signed by my husband and another one by my Joint Sponsor and it was everything ok we got a CC. After I Got my interview date I asked my husband to sign and sent me another form just in case to have it with me at my interview, the one that I have is only signed by my husband not sealed by an American Notary ? What should I go please help. 4 days to the Interview !!!

Have you contacted the Embassy about this? As far as I know the form does not NEED to be notarized but it may be a Embassy specific requirement so call them asap and inquire.

Have you contacted the Embassy about this? As far as I know the form does not NEED to be notarized but it may be a Embassy specific requirement so call them asap and inquire.

No , I have not called yet , but I did call the NVC to ask they said no need to be notarized , but they recommend to call the Embassy !

I would not worry about that, I search it and found what i BELIEVE YOU you also read:

Its old (1993) and sounds like is for DCF which they do not do any more.

You paid a fee for AOS assesment, that by itself has more value or weight that a notarized I-864 which means nothing but a certification of the signature.

Trust me, sleep tight, DO NOT WORRY about a notarized I-864.

I don't think anyone is going to give you a tracking number.

What I gave you it is as close as it gets as far as making an educated guess on the tracking of your package.

Also do you think that I am good to go with these forms that are just signed by my Husband ,because he did not save a copy at the time he sent the doc to NVC ,so we just printed out and filled a new one ? is that okay ?

Thanks anyways. I still do appreciate it. I'm not too worried, but I will get my appointment date as soon as my package gets to the embassy. I trust God to help me get it done fast.

12-09-2015 Received 2 emails with Welcome Letters for my wife and I, they were sent by ASKnvc@state.gov

12-09-2015 AOS bill became available and I paid it. (IN PROCESS)

12-12-2015 Mailed AOS and IV packages.

12-14-2015 Received via email IV bill from ASKnvc@state.gov and paid the IV fee.

12-14-2015 AOS fee updated to PAID

12-15-2015 USPS tracking shows AOS/IV packages were delivered to NVC. Waiting for a SCAN date.

12-16-2015 IV fee updated to PAID and completed DS-260

12-19-2015 Scan Date (45 days after NOA2). I called on 01-13-16 and I was told my scan date is 12-15-15????

01-26-2016 Case complete. (83 days after NOA2)

01-29-2016 Called NVC, I was informed my CO Interview will be on 03-01-2016 at 08:00.

02-02-2016 Received Interview Letter (P4) via email.

02-09-2016 Package picked-up by DHL at 15:29 Waybill 5992952011. CEAC status "IN TRANSIT"

STAGE 3: US Embassy Bogota

02-11-2016 US Embassy Bogota received my package at 10:39.

02-12-2016 CEAC Visa Status changed from "IN TRANSIT" to "READY"

02-24-2016 Lab exams at the clinic and Bio-metrics at the CAS center.

02-25-2016 Medical Exams.

03-01-2016 Interview Date (175 days after I mailed I-130) VISA APPROVED. CEAC status changed to AP

03-02-2016 Paid Immigrant Visa Fee via ELIS account. CEAC status changed to ISSUED

03-03-2016 US Embassy Bogota sends Passport and Visa package via DHL Waybill 2900131780 to Cali.

03-04-2016 My wife picked up at DHL sealed approved IV package and her passport with a stamped I-551 IV Category CR1.
