I am almost done with getting all our documents ready for husbands interview next month. Regarding Birth Certificates, since I am the petitioner my husband only needs to bring his original and a copy of his birth certificate right, not mine? I can put mine in his folder but really rather not travel with my original if not necessary. Thank you!

I love you guys! I truly hope one day we can all meet up somewhere, have a "June filers/March/April Interview reunion!" :)

Lord I am going cray cray trying to get this Interview package together for hubby. Lord it's like all my years of advice and help has left me.

  1. Originals of all documents submitted
  2. Divorce Decree
  3. 2015 W2 and IRS Extension form
  4. Wedding album
  5. Picture album with both trips that will cover 6 months of living together
  6. Since I been here 5 months no chats to submit
  7. I guess can screen shot some Facebook (like boring. Isn't living together good enough)

Can't think of anything else. Any suggests? I will be outside. My husband wants to get a T-shirt made with "I am DWheels76 Husband" LOL. Don't know if Lagos ready for him. Lord father.

@dwheels76, thanks for the reply.

I got the phone call from NVC supervisor around 12pm yesterday. She says my case is completed, but the appointments for March is fully booked. I could get slot for April. I also get an Email that the embassy has approved my case to be expedited nd dat my case would be transferred immediately to the embassy. It also says any further enquiries should be directed to the embassy in Lagos.

Hi

It was on 9/02/2016. It hurts a lot mate, I think it should take the same amount of time for me too then. please let me know once you get the visa, so I will know how long usually it takes upon submitting the transcripts, btw is your visa still in AP ?

if this takes some time, I will ask her to come and stay here in sri lanka until I get the VISA,

All the best mate :)

Regards,

I sure will let you know buddy. Stop worrying man, after you send them the transcript it won't take long to issue you a visa.

Yes, as soon as the interview was over, case went to ap and the last update is still the interview date.

We decided it'd be worth to wait a month or two because then we could put that trip money for better use(think of the big picture) haha

Thank you and I wish you the same.

B-)

I know. They still use personal checks too. (I dare to put a laughing face after it because half my family is American and I will be an American in a few years now too and come one, you have to be able to laugh about the stupid stuff about yourself and your country. :)) But seriously, for a country that's so forward thinking and advanced in so many areas, I'm just amazed at how behind their banking system is.

:dancing: :joy:

My husband wants to get a T-shirt made with "I am DWheels76 Husband" LOL. Don't know if Lagos ready for him. Lord father.

BTW.

Please don´t post so much...

Congratulations. When did you get call so I cam add you to the spreadsheet.

You can always email the embassy. Be sure to put in Subject line your case# and Beneficiaries full Name with Expedite Interview date (or something like that). They will let you know whats up.

So just an update on my case. I just checked the ceac webpage, nd it says your case is in transit to the consular section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center. Pls, what does this mean?

Well, I just called NVC nd spoke to a customer Rep who told me that my case is in transit to the embassy in Lagos because its an expedite case. She says the embassy would generate an interview appointment date for me as soon as the file gets there. She advice me to get to the embassy after 1 week concerning my appointment. Yayyyy!!!!
