I know personally 3 people 2 at Lagos 1 at South Africa embassy just in the last month asked at the interview for login information.

It happens and of course they are allowed. It's your choice to comply cuz there's no rule or regulation says you have to. But it won;t go well if you deny them the access. You basically saying you have something to hide. I mean our whole lives is out there in this process.

Our phones tapped(yep they are), emails read, Facebook looked at. So whats access on Facebook. :diablo:

Ok, I've been exteremely quite in this forum because I drove myself crazy during the NVC CC process and now awaiting a interview date (as my spouse and I have one of the slower mentioned Embassy's in scheduling interviews). Not to mentioned that I eaten tons of Garrett's popcorn for the self inflicted stress. So, I'm trying not to drive him crazy nor myself...as I am a self proclaimed impatient control freak! And would be Alex Trebek and making him respond in the form of a question as I over think the interview process and potiential questions. Not that we have anything to hide but really phones tapped and social media phantom lurkers? That's concerning only from the perspective that the latest news is trending about Apple not allowing or producing backdoor code to unlock phones of those who have committed some harsh crimes. I guess it's a pointless vent but if technology is such where phones are tapped and social media hacked...but a phone can't be unlocked and most are still having to kill 10 million trees for the amount of forms and supporting documents that have to be submitted; there is something grossly wrong with that picture. As a side note, although I understand the scruitiny, but while having a discussion with someone who has been married over 20 years and asking them if they thought their spouse could answer some of the possible questions..they responded probably but it would maybe require some thought or hesitation on their part...the process as whole is somewhat frustrating because the validity of your relationship and decision of you being together is in the hands of someone that could possibly be in a foul mood, a negative Nancy, or a mannerism taken the wrong way is somewhat ridiculous..but I get it. I'm sure that they are highly trained and skilled people doing this but they can get it wrong and have.

I guess the thing that we all must do is, stay the course, remain positive and pray to whomever or whatever you consider your most high...and deal with whatever is placed before you when it's actually before you and pray that those who are in this for some other reason aside from the sacred institution marriage are vetted out.

That's my rant for the next few weeks....

P.S. I hold the utmost admiration for everyone going through this process because it is not for the faint of heart!

Hi

Wife is in the process of arranging the IRS transcripts. Do you mind asking why its taking too long for you to get it? she said it should be ready within next week.

have you requested for 2015 or 2014 once ?

Regards,

IRS is slow because this is the tax season, so we're waiting on our sponsor's tax filings. They asked for 2014 transcripts though.

When was your interview?

dosen't matter Jointly or Separate.

Your accountant is incorrect. File "Married Filing Separately". You will NOT be able to file electronically, which is why your accountant is pushing back. His tax software will not let him type "NRA" (Non-Resident Alien) in the Spouse's SSN spot. So he has to prepare a MANUAL (meaning a hard-copy paper) tax return, and physically write "NRA" in the SSN space.

I agree - trying to get a certified copy of a passport (because it has to be certified at the Embassy/Consulate) is VERY difficult in some countries.

If he is unwilling to do this, find a different accountant.

Hi

It was on 9/02/2016. It hurts a lot mate, I think it should take the same amount of time for me too then. please let me know once you get the visa, so I will know how long usually it takes upon submitting the transcripts, btw is your visa still in AP ?

if this takes some time, I will ask her to come and stay here in sri lanka until I get the VISA,

All the best mate :)

I know. They still use personal checks too. (I dare to put a laughing face after it because half my family is American and I will be an American in a few years now too and come one, you have to be able to laugh about the stupid stuff about yourself and your country. :)) But seriously, for a country that's so forward thinking and advanced in so many areas, I'm just amazed at how behind their banking system is.

Yours is like mine, I am just curious about what USCIS is issuing now, seems there has been a change in the amount of digits and that is the confusing part when registering for ELIS.

My fresh alien number has eight digits.

Yummmy Garrett's. I'll help you eat. :goofy:

Now to your point remember Edward Snowden and why he left the US and has asylum in Russia. Our phones have been tapped for ever. The phone companies gave that access long ago.

The iphone well that's Apple's property and with the new platform of Iphone 6s you can;t hack it so there we are. Personally for me I don't get why people are so amazed and stunned that the US government can and will do any means necessary they can to make sure some people stay out (whether it's wrongly or not). Like I told my husband that the biggest fear that he or most immigrants do to us (aside of abuse, murder, you get) is breaking our hearts, scamming us for a green card. Sure beats terrorism.

I guess as a Military child coming up I know what our government is capable of when they want information. I knew it when I decided to not once but twice go through this Visa Love Boat Journey. I welcome it.
