Call NVC and ask where is your package. I believe the package is in Islamabad, keep looking at the status updated date, if keeps changing is because the CO is reviewing it, it may happen several times. WHEN IS YOUR INTERVIEW?

USCIS as far as I know does not forward the copies of civil documents to NVC. I will find the info where I saw it in writing.

Do not try to limit yourself to bring minimum or just what is required to the interview.

If you read carefully, the NVC website it says to bring ORIGINALS and one copy of each document to the interview.

Your embassy may have extra requirements, check yourself on their website.

Interview is March 9. I am planning on taking the originals and copies of everything sent to NVC plus a new 864EZ with our 2015 tax transcript. I am also taking wedding photos and some photos from each of my trips as well as our current bank account statement, credit card statement, and chat logs. I just wasn't sure about taking the copies of I-130 and all stuff submitted with it. I have reviewed the Embassy website and I think we're good on that stuff hopefully!

I am also thinking the case is in Islamabad ... I'm just surprised it got sent so fast!

That is very good!!

Are you serious?

You have already a 2015 Tax transcript?

When did you file 2015 taxes?

I tried to get one and I was told by the IRS to wait 8 weeks.

I filed my 2015 taxes last week.

Yeah! The refund showed up on Feb. 3rd so I gave it a shot and requested the transcript on the 4th. It came in yesterday's mail! I was kind of surprised too. Are you expecting a refund? I would try requesting it as soon as you see the refund.

With no information and you only now going to nvc, that is hard to say.

I am new to this forum, tried to fill my timeline but couldnt figure out. my NOA2 of I-824 was approved on 2/12/2016 for a pre-approved I-140 based on EB2. My cnsulate is Montreal, and my PD is current.

Not sure if this is all what you need.

Thank you.

Sign in and go to your user name in the top right hand corner. A drop down box appears with "my timeline" in it. Click on that and you can start filling it out. Also, this thread is for CR-1 and IR-1 users. EB2 would be a different part of this web site.

Can you guide me where Is the suitable part then? I cant find any info about i-140, plus I believe that in the last letter issued by NVC in November, they stated that once the petition reaches NVC, it is treated indifferently. I mean i-130 and i-140 would get the same timeline. right?

Thank you

I do not know much about the I-140 as it is for employment based visas. In this section we discuss the I-130 which pertains to family based visas.

Electronically. I e-filed on 1/14/15 and it was accepted 1/15/16.

I am intrigued now.

I wanted to file electronically like I always have done in the past. But when you file MFS (Married filing separately) with a spouse outside the US without SSN you can not file electronically because you have to write NRA (non resident alien) in the SSN field for your spouse.

So my question to you is did you file as SINGLE status or your spouse has a ITIN since 2014?

Thanks for the link, I have reviewed it thoroughly before, but couldn't find my exact specific situation.

There is no difference!

What is the current wait time for i-130 petition from NOA2 to interview?

Thank you.

You will have an easier time finding answers posting your questions in that forum than in here. I-130 is approximately 5 months to process. NVC is approximately 2 months if you are not electronically processing, and then another month or two until the interview after that. These are just averages.

Electronically you can have case complete in 7 to 14 days at NVC (Montreal) as long as they have everything they need from you. They've been hitting these numbers lately.
