Hello everyone, first post here. I had CC on Jan 11th and still no interview for Auckland, NZ. I'm hoping it's a Oceania thing and they schedule our ones this coming week. I just don't see how they could be so busy not to have a slot for me in New Zealand. I've had a look at the spreadsheet and I might be a record setter for this embassy, I sure hope not. It's getting a bit frustrating when my case has been complete for over a month, and people are getting their interviews with CC's in February. I thought EB-3 category might take longer, but again I had a look on the spreadsheet and it seemed close to the same as everyone else.

Congratulations. I have added you to the spreadsheet. Welcome to the group.

On your scheduling different Visa categories have different amount of slots available. Hang on.

So like I said my case was sent to the us embassy in DR so once they get my case they will setup my husband interview meaning that the NVC has nothing to do with my case anymore.

If I recall about a few months back I believe DR is now doing their own scheduling of IR1/CR1. But that would be why. You area bout the 4th for DR that has reported this. It's just your embassy doing this currently. Why who knows.

Just wait for your instructions from them. Keep us posted.

Hi ERP! The 10-year green card is issued to those who have been married over 2 years AT THE TIME OF IMMIGRATION. It's not about the interview date - it's about the date when he enters the US.

So...if you can hold off until February 27th, he will get a 10-year Green Card. Have him carry a copy of your marriage license when he comes through immigration, and make sure the officer marks the paperwork for an IR-1 - NOT a CR-1.

Good luck!

CEAC Status:

"AT NVC", is self explanatory.

"IN TRANSIT" means is on the way to embassy for interview. Note: IN TRANSIT pops up one day before DHL picks it up at NVC.

"READY", Embassy checked it and it is ready for interview.

"ISSUED" Visa was approved.

Those are the main ones, there are other like VISA PRINTING, ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING, etc.

Hi, I just have to ask if that's certain about the "READY" status? Because I was was greatly surprised when I just looked at our status and it already says READY. I didn't think it would even leave NVC for another week or so since our interview was just scheduled 1/29/16. So is it really possible that its already been received and reviewed? The status update to READY was on 2/10/16. Just seems really fast, especially for Islamabad.

One other question out of curiosity, does NVC send the entire USCIS file? Or just the required paperwork form NVC? I am preparing to head over so I can be there for interview. Just wondering if its best to take the entire package of everything that was submitted from the beginning or just the more recent stuff?

Thanks everyone!

2 year or 10 year is determined at POE. If ypu arrive in US after 2 year wedding anniversary you will receive a 10 year greencard. Before a 2 year.

Be sure to remind CO and CBP.

Yes they send everything. No its not reviewed yet. Merely received and scanned into the embassy system. If you monitor your case you will see the Case Status dates change. Everytime they touch your file the date will change. Edited by dwheels76

Call NVC and ask where is your package. I believe the package is in Islamabad, keep looking at the status updated date, if keeps changing is because the CO is reviewing it, it may happen several times. WHEN IS YOUR INTERVIEW?

USCIS as far as I know does not forward the copies of civil documents to NVC. I will find the info where I saw it in writing.

Do not try to limit yourself to bring minimum or just what is required to the interview.

If you read carefully, the NVC website it says to bring ORIGINALS and one copy of each document to the interview.

Your embassy may have extra requirements, check yourself on their website.
