That fee ($165.00) is for the GREEN CARD itself and applies to every one receiving one including IR1/CR1.

If you do not pay it, you never receive one.

Its paid online before or after entering US. Need to open an ELIS account.

Well that's it then :)

Thanks. So no need to bring money for interview :)

Just bought my plane tickets to Canada for my husbands interview. I'm counting on spending my birthday weekend in Canada celebrating our visa approval! :) Things are moving along, I think I am just going to relax the next 2-3 weeks before finishing getting all the interview documents in order. I have about 85% of our accordion folder labeled and filled with everything the embassy will ask for, and then some. Wait did I just say I am going to relax.. happy day!! :dancing:

Doing the same. Just got my shots done in advance of next week's medical exam.

I don't know how I can reply to individual posts but thanks frankjavir for giving me the information about Turkey. It seems that everyone in turkey is in the same situation. There is such a backlog there and now I'm wishing that we never did consular processing and went straight to an adjustment of status. I just don't understand why there is a backlog in the first place. There doesn't seem to be many people on this forum processing in Turkey. I also understand that Iranians are processing in Anakara but I also don't see any recent people from Iran on the spreadsheet. FYI I am a US citizen living in Turkey and my husband is a Turkish national applying for CR-1. Our case was completed on 1/21.

Okay NVC Interview scheduling

Just called NVC to see about March date and the nice lady told me that they were all notified yesterday that March calendar is closed. April assignments will be starting in about 2 weeks (end of month).

I must say I have gotten the most informative and nicest people. Like for me I asked when I called yesterday and they lady broke it down to me for my embassy they stopped on CC 2/2. That was very helpful.

So looks like my June filers peeps are leaving me on the dock of the bay. But ya'll know me I am always at the dock launching all of you off to your love ones.

Does this apply to all Embassies? I presume it does (Sorry for the silly question. I had heard the Dublin Embassy can be quicker sometimes so I wondered if that would mean the possibility of still getting a March interview.

I heard, (actually read it here somewhere) the same story, slots available immediately for CR1/IR1.

If I was you, I will call/email them.

My US Embassy Bogota asks for everything, so basically I am bringing a whole IV package but his time all originals.

They have their own generic P4 posted on their website for all immigrants.

Search your US Embassy in Canada website.
